If the logic of Torture is to be upheld here, shouldn’t officials now waterboard Scott Roeder to get the information out of him? Ticking time bomb and all that… (It’s a fairly obvious thought. I see it posted here, who sees it posted previous to that.)

I have on one of my pandora stations — sort of set up with a few “stations” for the genres of country and jazz and blues – there I feel like putting that on — and a few pretty interchangable rock stations, necessary to click away when pandora throws into an inescapable rut. (I’d think there would be some lines of demarcation for sub-genre, but that doesn’t seem to work in practice.) So, pandora goes from Talking Heads’s “Who Is It?”, left on. Next comes a particularly bad David Bowie song — nothing wrong with David Bowie, but this particular Bowie track — “Sound and Vision” —  grates at me. So I give it the thumbs-down. Pandora then goes to… Talking Heads… “Memories Can’t Wait (Live)”. It’s weird how when pandora is scolded, it back-tracks to the safest position.
Compare the (similar) opening skits of Late Night With Conan O’Brien debut with Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien debut . The biggest fault with the bit in 1993 was the Horse speak thing. The biggest problem with the bit in 2009 is the sort of standard mid-moment pause.
