red state Democrat candidate bingo cards

Setting up a ‘red state Democrat’, and then venturing into the Arkansas and South Carolina Senate candidates shuffling for votes. They walk into a folksy locale — and every county faire and diners they hear the same message from all types of people, all the Democrats, all the Republicans — they are tired of the lefts, the rights — they just are looking for common sense solutions and people willing and ready to reach across the aisle, get things done, and — oh, did I mention how badly Biden screwed up with the border?

A comedy act with Darline Graham at the Republican debate. She, in her position in the Senate, got the Lindsey Graham Russian Sanction Bill passed, signed by the President, giving the President new tools to save Ukraine against Russia. And then we look up and see a new bold front by Trump and Elon Musk to screw over Zelensky and Ukraine, and we are officially all dead and hollow inside. Not sure how much the last vestige of the purpose of Lindsey Graham — keeping Trump somewhere with Ukraine — falling off the wayside of this plays with this South Carolina electorate. Something of the unsexy rationales for Biden as he doddered off the stage and Harris, making the mistake of trying to accumulate this vote that maybe does not really exist by having a campaign appearance with Lynne Cheney (perhaps slighting off the other part of the equation — Trump will carry us into Iran — failure of imagination to picture that alarmist future) — and I gather as military focused as this state is, the electorate still can’t get budged because — the Democrat’s name rhymes with “Tranny” and Jane Fonda has donated money to get campaign.

The Libertarian candidate was on the stage, and a Constitution candidate sits over there off stage, and I do wonder if in the weird world where a right wing opposition to Lindsey Graham always existed — a constellation of how deeply in the inner Senate and ready guest for national political programming, pasts attempt at more liberalized immigration policy, and the belief / awareness that he was a closeted gay man — metastasizes with Darline’s vacant empty suit to park five or more percentage points to them — the respectables to the Libertarian and the cranks to the Constitution Party guy. But stirring up this vote probably works out as ineffectually as the Republicans in Ohio in nibbling to the edges in support for the bonfide Socialist running for Senate against Sherrod Brown, paying for mailers for him — there I wonder if the micro-target gets too much air and creeps off as the overall message against Brown who they want a broader electorate to think he is there.
