If they do not, the TP could become a  3rd party, thereby cementing the Left&#8217;s electoral victories 4 years 2  come.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe Twitter debate, if you can call it that, was hosted by TeaParty.net and moderated by conservative columnist S.E. Cupp, one of the earliest voices to suggest McCotter run for president.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.abcnews.com\/thenote\/2011\/07\/buddy-roemer-announces-candidacy.html\">Welcome <strong>Buddy Roemer<\/strong> into the Race for Republican Presidential Nominee<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><em>Roemer served four terms as a Democratic congressman from Louisiana then  became governor of the state in 1988. He switched affiliations to the  GOP in his third year as governor and lost re-election to a second term.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To be sure, here&#8217;s the vote tally for the first round in Louisiana&#8217;s &#8220;Jungle&#8221; system for that election:<\/p>\n<p>Edwin Edwards, Democrat 523,096 34%<br \/>\nDavid Duke, Republican 491,342\u00c2\u00a0 32%<br \/>\nBuddy Roemer,\u00c2\u00a0 Republican\u00c2\u00a0 410,690\u00c2\u00a0 27%<\/p>\n<p>Ouch.<br \/>\nThe good news is that David Duke is considering a run for the Republican Presidential nomination himself, so we have a rematch of sorts on our hands!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2011\/07\/22\/hyperbole-msnbc-host-says-bachmann-wants-to-extinguish-gays\/\">The punditry around <strong>Michele Bachmann<\/strong> is getting fast and furious!<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Minnesota Republican Rep. But now an anchor of a non-opinion daytime <a id=\"KonaLink0\" href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2011\/07\/22\/hyperbole-msnbc-host-says-bachmann-wants-to-extinguish-gays\/#\"><span style=\"color: green;\">news<\/span><\/a> show at a major cable news outlet has joined in.<br \/>\nOn Friday\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s broadcast of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153MSNBC Live,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d host Thomas Roberts asked  GOProud\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Jimmy LaSalvia why he would be so willing to replace President  Barack Obama, especially in the person of Bachmann.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153But you will replace him with a person that would extinguish you,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d  Roberts said. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153You\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re replacing him with a person that doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t believe  that that you have a right in this country to get married, that believes  you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even have a right in this country to be gay because she  co-owns a clinic that will convert you.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n<div>&#8220;Extinguish&#8221;?\u00c2\u00a0 Why I never!\u00c2\u00a0 The Gay Republican advocate must have been fuming.<br \/>\nMeanwhile&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/blogs\/blogpost\/post\/marcus-bachmanns-clinic-invaded-by-gay-barbarian-horde\/2011\/07\/22\/gIQAzkRRTI_blog.html\">Gay Barbarians<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 No GOProud members in that group.<\/div>\n<p><strong>Tim Pawlenty<\/strong>:\u00c2\u00a0 Can he place well in a Summer 2011 Straw Poll?\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/0711\/59536.html\">It&#8217;s all so dramatic<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p><em>After struggling to find his voice and place in the race through two  years of planning and beginning his bid, the former Minnesota governor  finally seems to be hitting his mark.<br \/>\nBut Pawlenty\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s hopes for success at next month\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s straw poll, in the caucuses, and beyond are increasingly out of his hands.<\/em><\/p>\n<div>Good lord, political coverage is stupid.<br \/>\nY&#8217;know&#8230; the state that he ran shut down a little while ago.\u00c2\u00a0 I tend to think his eight years at the helm had something to do with it, and that the next guy was just left holding the bag.\u00c2\u00a0 For your consideration&#8230;<\/div>\n<p>But Pawlenty doesn&#8217;t have a chance of getting to 7th place in a straw poll, and thus being able to declare himself the &#8220;Comeback Kid&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/motherjones.com\/politics\/2011\/07\/michele-bachmann-home-school-fundraising\">Michele Bachmann has home schooled children working her cause<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 What does Pawlenty have?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitt Romney<\/strong> is taking <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlanticwire.com\/politics\/2011\/07\/mitt-romneys-sad-tour-americas-modern-ruins\/40296\/\">photo ops in sad, sad places<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 There are a lot of sad places in America he can go to&#8211; I&#8217;d take him over to all the former Borders locations, for instance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Newt Gingrich<\/strong> &#8212; to his credit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politifact.com\/truth-o-meter\/statements\/2011\/jul\/21\/newt-gingrich\/newt-gingrich-says-dodd-frank-law-requires-20-perc\/\">did say something about Dodd &#8212; Frank<\/a>, something <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2011\/07\/21\/newt-gingrich-dodd-frank-criticisms_n_905155.html\">more than &#8220;boo!&#8221;<\/a>.<br \/>\nBut this is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/0711\/59662.html\">intriguing<\/a>:<br \/>\n<em>Former House Speaker and Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich, along  with his wife Callista, are hosting a special screening of their  documentary, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Nine Days That Changed the World\u00e2\u20ac\u009d on Monday July 25 at  6:30P in Lexington, MA.
