{"id":7824,"date":"2011-03-24T17:14:28","date_gmt":"2011-03-25T00:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=7824"},"modified":"2011-03-24T17:14:28","modified_gmt":"2011-03-25T00:14:28","slug":"tim-pawlenty-in-your-face","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2011\/03\/24\/tim-pawlenty-in-your-face\/","title":{"rendered":"Tim Pawlenty IN YOUR FACE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I guess we are going to have to take <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YfkNEq1XioE&amp;feature=player_embedded#at=16\">this Tim Pawlenty ad<\/a> and ensconse it in gold.\u00c2\u00a0 We are not going to get anything quite like it again.\u00c2\u00a0 We see it with his ad <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-B8BKJV6Xyg&amp;feature=player_embedded\">announcing the formation of an Exploratory Committee<\/a> &#8212; itself a bit ridiculous, but it is the type of ad of which the &#8220;Courage to Stand&#8221; ad is a parody.<\/p>\n<p>The director thatTim Pawlenty hired, and you can look up the name if you want, has tapped down the productions a notch.\u00c2\u00a0 But maybe that&#8217;s the point.\u00c2\u00a0 Team Pawlenty is apparently pleased as punch at the attention, even smirking, that the &#8220;Courage to Stand&#8221; ad received.\u00c2\u00a0 If it amounts to much more than Mike Gravel&#8217;s attention upon his ad campaign &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0rZdAB4V_j8\">a classic<\/a> &#8212; we will see.\u00c2\u00a0 But I think there is a logic here: Pawlenty holds that Obama received the presidency off of, more or less merely, &#8220;great oratory&#8221; and speeches.
