The one thing that hits at a crux of the matter — while I suppose that the Bible Burning Day holders wouldn’t get it as hard as an Islamic Jihad, they would receive death threats — and admist the collection of death threats, there would be CREDIBLE death threats — to be turned over to policing authorities for investigation.<\/p>\n
Who, in that scenario,\u00c2\u00a0is “Abusing” the First Amendment in the scenario a matter of conjecture.\u00c2\u00a0 I wouldn’t want to burn a Bible or Koran, except under extreme duress.<\/p>\n
It’s about, what, 50 people out there in that Florida congregation?\u00c2\u00a0 That’s not a lot of people.\u00c2\u00a0 But fringe-collections sometimes are overplayed abroad — Fred Phelps has been portrayed abroad as more significant than he is — you have to imagine that Russia’s Igor Panarin is about the same here.<\/p>\n
The Koran Burning has\u00c2\u00a0an expandable number of sympathizers — certainly moreso than would support the Bible Burning Event.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0In the Bible-burning event, politicians wouldn’t be offering\u00c2\u00a0opposition of the most tepid nature, as\u00c2\u00a0follows former presidents alerting everyone that we’re not at war with Islam.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
