Somebody has revealed that my reference to how often Journolist involved gossip and sportschat was part of a coordinated effort to cover our tracks, since other people from the list have been saying the same thing.<\/em><\/p>\n

In fact, all those threads about basketball and the World Cup were themselves part of the grand plot.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ah hah!\u00c2\u00a0 The True Colors of the Liberal Elites are showing.\u00c2\u00a0 As everybody knows, Soccer is gay<\/a>, anti-American<\/a>, and Socialist<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Also the Campaign for Peace and Democracy is a Communist Front Group.<\/p>\n

I bet they were all rooting for North Korea<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0in the World Cup.<\/p>\n

Y’know.\u00c2\u00a0 There has been news about the North Korean soccer team.\u00c2\u00a0 There’s a rule in sports that it is better to be the team that loses the Conference Championships than the Championships — better be third than second, if nothing else the team will be a trendy pick for the sports prognasticators at the start of the next year.<\/p>\n

North Korea was essentially the thirty-second best team in a tournament of thirty-two.\u00c2\u00a0 In their case, it probably have been better if they were the thirty-third best team in the World<\/a>.<\/p>\n

North Korea’s football team has been shamed in a six-hour public inquisition and the team’s coach has been accused of “betraying” the reclusive leader’s heir apparent following their failure at the World Cup, according to reports.<\/em><\/p>\n

The entire squad was forced onto a stage at the People’s Palace of Culture and subjected to criticism from Pak Myong-chol, the sports minister, as 400 government officials, students and journalists watched.<\/em><\/div>\n

The players were subjected to a “grand debate” on July 2 because they failed in their “ideological struggle” to succeed in South Africa, Radio Free Asia and South Korean media reported.<\/em><\/p>\n

The team’s coach, Kim Jong-hun, was reportedly forced to become a builder and has been expelled from the Workers’ Party of Korea.<\/em><\/p>\n

The coach was punished for “betraying” Kim Jong-un – one of Supreme Leader Kim Jong-il’s sons and heir apparent.<\/em><\/p>\n
