{"id":6275,"date":"2010-06-08T11:40:24","date_gmt":"2010-06-08T18:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=6275"},"modified":"2010-06-08T11:40:24","modified_gmt":"2010-06-08T18:40:24","slug":"damon-dunn-is-counting-on-his-biography-to-win-against-orly-taitz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2010\/06\/08\/damon-dunn-is-counting-on-his-biography-to-win-against-orly-taitz\/","title":{"rendered":"Damon Dunn is counting on his biography to win against Orly Taitz."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I, of course, will be watching the California election result to read the tea-leaves on which direction the War with the British Empire is going &#8212; off the heels of Kesha Roger&#8217;s victory in March, a Summer Shields win over Nancy Pelosi will be an unmistakeable sign that the British are just about down for the count, whereas Pelosi winning mean the final consolidation of the British forces.<\/p>\n<p>Okay.\u00c2\u00a0 The truth is that primary contest is being lost in the shuffle as people look over the California Primary Contests.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0The race that has everyone abuzz is, naturally, the one for Secretary of State &#8212; a race where there\u00c2\u00a0is no clear favorite and which pits some guy who is not campaigning very aggressively <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/stories\/0610\/38212.html\">against<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be a disaster for the Republican party,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d says James Lacy, a conservative GOP operative in the state. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Can you imagine if [gubernatorial candidate] Meg Whitman and [candidate for Lt. Gov.] Abel Maldonado \u00e2\u20ac\u201d both of whom might have a chance to win in November \u00e2\u20ac\u201d had to run with Orly Taitz as secretary of state, who would make her cockamamie issues about Obama\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s birth certificate problems at the forefront of her activities?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153There is no Republican candidate for statewide office that would be willing to have her campaign with them,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d says Adam Probolsky, a spokesman for the Orange County Republican Party.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But longtime California GOP strategist Allan Hoffenblum, who publishes the California Target Book, says a Taitz victory is entirely possible. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153It will be a complete embarrassment if she wins, but these things can happen,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d he said. [&#8230;]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Taitz is running against Damon Dunn, an African-American former professional football player.
