The demographics of the speech were something else entirely &#8212; for all intents and purposes 50% of the audience were Republicans, 25% were Democrats, and 25% were Independents.<\/p>\n<p>The Faithful, the practioners of Bushianity, tuned in&#8230; inspiration beckoned, words of wisdom flowed, everyone cheered.  The rest&#8230; felt no reason to bother.<\/p>\n<p>You can usually annote every line of these speeches with a certain satirical flair.<\/p>\n<p>Example:  <i>The terrorists who attacked us \u2014 and the terrorists we face \u2014 murder in the name of a totalitarian ideology that hates freedom, rejects tolerance and despises all dissent.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/articles\/A62221-2005Feb3.html\">(1)<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/mediamatters.org\/items\/200506220006\">(2)<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amconmag.com\/12_15_03\/feature.html\">(3)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>See how that woks?  And all with only the last word of the sentence.
