{"id":5334,"date":"2010-01-29T13:53:17","date_gmt":"2010-01-29T20:53:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=5334"},"modified":"2010-01-29T13:54:40","modified_gmt":"2010-01-29T20:54:40","slug":"weekly-dose-of-ladouche","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2010\/01\/29\/weekly-dose-of-ladouche\/","title":{"rendered":"weekly dose of ladouche"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dennis King, in his postings on the developments in the inquest into Jeremiah Duggan&#8217;s death, criticizes the nature of google&#8217;s news aggregator, <a href=\"http:\/\/denniskingblog.typepad.com\/dennis_king\/2010\/01\/why-does-google-news-treat-larouches-jewhating-propaganda-rag-as-a-legitimate-news-outlet.html\">largely spelled out here<\/a>, but also\u00c2\u00a0at the top of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lyndonlarouchewatch.com\/larouche-newest1.htm\">his update\u00c2\u00a0page <\/a>is this.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Jan. 29: A LaRouche press release now ranks on Google News as the number one news source re the U.K. Attorney General&#8217;s Duggan inquest decision.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><em> The AG&#8217;s &#8220;fiat&#8221; for a new inquest is an important news story being covered by numerous newspapers and other media outlets in Britain. Responsible newspapers with substantial circulations. But what comes first on Google News as of 10:30 PM, Jan. 28&#8211;if you type in &#8220;Jeremiah Duggan&#8221;&#8211;is a <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>scurrilous rant<\/em><\/span><em> signed by LaRouche.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nOther news sources aggregated by google&#8230;<br \/>\nThe John Birch Society.\u00c2\u00a0 As well their magazine &#8220;New American&#8221;.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m a bit hazy on some of the other &#8220;news&#8221; sources of similar questionable repute that google aggregates.\u00c2\u00a0<br \/>\nThen there are any number of opinionated bloggers, and I would say any number of them don&#8217;t really fit the category &#8220;news&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 (For instance, to his credit the dailykos blogger <a href=\"http:\/\/news.cnet.com\/8301-10784_3-6126426-7.html\">asked for his site&#8217;s removal<\/a>.)\u00c2\u00a0 I could go either way with most of them, they may be worth a read for different perspectives on this or that news topic, but surely they can be aggregated by something else.<\/p>\n<p>I guess if EIR had the blessing of Morton Downey, Jr in the 1980s, it gets to be thrown\u00c2\u00a0into google news.\u00c2\u00a0 As for the piece on Duggan, I could swear I&#8217;ve read that LPAC \/ EIR piece on the Jeremiah Duggan case several times before.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s all a head scratcher.<br \/>\n<em>Is not my appearance twice on the BBC broadcasts in the matter of Prime Minister Tony Blair&#8217;s lying pretext for launching war against Iraq, as this fact of the matter was emphasized by Dr. Kelly, the primary area of fact bearing on Erica Duggan&#8217;s launching what has been a largely fraudulent campaign against me, launched by important associates of Blair in the setting of the death of Dr. Kelly, of the highest relevance in the behavior of certain British circles in the strange role of Erica Duggan?<br \/>\n<\/em>I can answer that for you.\u00c2\u00a0 No.<br \/>\nBut at least the Herschel Krustofsky branch of sock puppets have been kept at bay\u00c2\u00a0at wikipedia.<\/p>\n<p>As for actual news items, Dennis King seems to have pulled the bulk of the UK&#8217;s offerings.\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/uk_news\/england\/london\/8473537.stm\">The BBC<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/hostednews\/ukpress\/article\/ALeqM5gSgs2Rrlqk-MWMIFfOnCOAsPFLrw\">United Kingdom Press Agency<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Their attorneys at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leighday.co.uk\/news\/news-archive-2010\/further-success-for-erica-duggan-in-bid-for-new\">Leigh Day<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Ask the deployed members at card table shrines on about Duggan, and they&#8217;ll respond round about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rw05cGevJsc\">like this<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Meanwhile, the EIR item will shortly be dumped onto that weird sort of weblog &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/icelandcrash.blogspot.com\/2010\/01\/larouche-we-are-at-war-and-enemy-is.html\">this sort<\/a>, for perhaps further commenting by Howie G.<\/p>\n<p>Things I&#8217;ve been wondering about Howie G.\u00c2\u00a0 About a third of the posts at his sites are paid sponsor posts.\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harlemface.com\/2010\/01\/get-your-sanyo-incognito-phone.html\">Buy this<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Curiously enough, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harlemface.com\/2010\/01\/trade-show-and-truss.html\">this<\/a> doesn&#8217;t have the &#8220;Visit Sponsors&#8217; Site&#8221; button, but it&#8217;s evidentally a paid message, as per the disclosure:<br \/>\n<em>The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. And this is coming up now.&#8221; [&#8230;]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hold on!\u00c2\u00a0 Now I see why google news aggregates this.<\/p>\n<div><em>As far as I could tell, LPAC&#8217;s site was the only one reporting this story. It will be interesting to see if any other significant sources report it.<br \/>\n<\/em>They get to news sources&#8230; not reported elsewhere.\u00c2\u00a0 Like how it&#8217;s been decided by a cabal out in London for everyone to destroy themselves.<\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.harlemface.com\/2010\/01\/great-eyeglasses-deal.html\">Have you ever asked yourself, why are eyeglasses so expensive?<\/a><br \/>\n&#8230; Are you interested in Long Distance Savings?\u00c2\u00a0 And we can get you a real good deal on this car!<\/div>\n<div><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.harlemface.com\/2010\/01\/obama-as-nero-to-murder-seneca.html\">Who will Obama want to fire, or even murder, as his Seneca<\/a>. After all, if Obama is Nero, someone is a Seneca. Even Hitler had his Rudolf Hess. Perhaps, Hillary Clinton will be axed as someone reminding Obama of reality too much. Or perhaps Former Fed Chairman Paul Volcker, with his half-baked no good proposal to regulate the banks, has outlived his usefulness to Obama. Harlem dudes know the score, Obama is about to lash out.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><em>\u00c2\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<div>Barack Obama is staring to remind me of a combination of William Howard Taft, Mauno Koivisto, and Charles the Bald.\u00c2\u00a0 His administration is heading into exactly their courses.<\/div>\n<div>tap tap tap&#8230;<\/div>\n<p>A silly thing about keeping up reguarly on a blog is that I find myself with this mental list of names and a curious question of &#8220;How will I tackle a blog post at their death?&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s a weird distortion of thinking about this hobby.<br \/>\nHoward Zinn was on that list.\u00c2\u00a0 He is <strong><em>that guy<\/em><\/strong> &#8212; that caricature everyone&#8217;s talking about when\u00c2\u00a0they refer to\u00c2\u00a0the left wing academic activist &#8220;Blame America First&#8221; figure.\u00c2\u00a0 And somebody has to be.<br \/>\nZinn, by the nature of his\u00c2\u00a0fame,\u00c2\u00a0lends himself pecularly to a wading of blog posts in a blog aggregator and by and large\u00c2\u00a0by-passing the obituaries in major news sources, because\u00c2\u00a0 he is a man who registers for basically political activists on the left or right, and not in a vast mainstream center.\u00c2\u00a0 The most interesting thing is to read the caveats toward some otherwise complimentary items from detractors &#8212; &#8220;Sure, he&#8217;s a pinko Marxist Revolutionary&#8230; BUT &#8211;&#8220;.\u00c2\u00a0 It is by way of acknowledging that outside the current wash of his death, the only times they&#8217;d be referencing Zinn is a sort of pejorative short-hand of marginilia, hyphenated with &#8220;Chomsky&#8221;*.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/deanesmay.com\/2010\/01\/28\/howard-zinn-rip\/\">Or perhaps<\/a>&#8230;<br \/>\n<em>Although one suspects that within another generation or two he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be as curious and obscure a figure as Lyndon LaRouche or Pat Buchanan: once interesting to a few, but utterly irrelevant to the future.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I reference Howard Zinn here by way of bringing myslelf back to Lyndon Larouche.\u00c2\u00a0 When he dies, and one looks into blog aggregators, there won&#8217;t be any relatively positive pieces from anyone who&#8217;s referenced him as a pejorative slight, caveats or otherwise.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0The small number that there will be will read <a href=\"http:\/\/connect.oregonlive.com\/user\/iamerican\/index.html\">like this<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harlemface.com\/2010\/01\/illuminati-according-to-book-cosmic.html\">maybe this<\/a>.<br \/>\nI see little reason not to get this out of the way, and post my quick salvo upon Lyndon Larouche&#8217;s death.<br \/>\nHe accomplished astouding feats, in the same way a man who dediccated his life to the creation of elaborate and intricate castle sculptures out of his own feces might.\u00c2\u00a0 I stand at the sighting of these sculptures, a foot or two steps back to avoid the worst of the pugnant ordor, and while I admit to gaping a bit in wonder, mostly I am just scratching my head and asking &#8220;What the Hell was the point of that?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>One last note, this is\u00c2\u00a0worth a look &#8212;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hnn.us\/\"> this collection of essays on hnn&#8217;s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hnn.us\/articles\/122592.html\">Michael Ledeen Responds to <em>Liberal Fascism<\/em><\/a>\u00c2\u00a0Michael Ledeen<\/p>\n<div id=\"wrap\">\n<div id=\"content1\">\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hnn.us\/articles\/122469.html\">Introduction<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0David Neiwert<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hnn.us\/articles\/122231.html\">The Scholarly Flaws of <em>Liberal Fascism<\/em><\/a>\u00c2\u00a0Robert O.
