I shrugged.\u00c2\u00a0 “What do you want me to do?”<\/p>\n

“There’s a contest going on here to name “Portland’s Miss Queenie*”.\u00c2\u00a0 My friend is running.\u00c2\u00a0 Could you go in and vote\u00c2\u00a0on the ballot for\u00c2\u00a0Shanda Lier?**\u00c2\u00a0 Only need ID, don’t need to buy anything.”<\/p>\n

I shook my head, and plucked the first thing I could think of out of my head.\u00c2\u00a0 “Sorry.\u00c2\u00a0 Already voted for Shelly Pisces.”<\/p>\n

So that’s the state of electioneering and campaigning for political campaigns these days.\u00c2\u00a0 It makes me long for the days of Tammany Hall.<\/p>\n
