{"id":4128,"date":"2009-06-13T11:33:20","date_gmt":"2009-06-13T18:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=4128"},"modified":"2009-06-13T12:32:58","modified_gmt":"2009-06-13T19:32:58","slug":"how-annoyed-should-i-be","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2009\/06\/13\/how-annoyed-should-i-be\/","title":{"rendered":"How annoyed should I be &#8211;?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"plainMail\">How annoyed should I be to see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fark.com\/cgi\/comments.pl?IDLink=4442604\"><span id=\"lw_1244916230_0\" class=\"yshortcuts\">Glen Beck<\/span> adopt a sort of morally relativistic &#8220;environment affects criminal behavior&#8221; <\/a>item of sympathy on behalf of the neo-nazi <span id=\"lw_1244916230_1\" class=\"yshortcuts\">Holocaust Museum<\/span> shooter?\u00c2\u00a0 This from a man who&#8217;s plugged himself into the anti-Progressive Era Gospel, about when the Criminal Justice System adopted concern over the environmental causes of crimes, and from a man I assume wouldn&#8217;t countenance such an explanation regarding, say, <span id=\"lw_1244916230_2\" class=\"yshortcuts\" style=\"background: none transparent scroll repeat 0% 0%; cursor: hand; border-bottom: medium none;\">American Imperialism<\/span> on the Muslim World.\u00c2\u00a0 But somehow Beck relates the &#8220;general trends are making people nervous&#8221; to Von Bronn.\u00c2\u00a0 (Liberal commentators are saying that, for instance, Glen Beck&#8217;s commentary is doing the same thing.)<br \/>\nJust so Glen Beck knows &#8212; this is who&#8217;s echoing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediabistro.com\/tvnewser\/generalities\/white_separatist_turns_bad_pr_lemons_into_lemonade_in_tv_interviews_118875.asp?c=rss\">with this particular &#8220;people are outraged&#8221; item<\/a>.<\/div>\n<p>How annoyed should I be to see various conservative pundits and publications chaffe at the term &#8220;right wing extremist&#8221; and insist that, if anything, he better fits the lines of &#8220;left-wing&#8221;, as in suggesting his words better fit the profile of an Interational ANSWER protester.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s a conceptualization that guarantees any number of mental gymnastics: <a href=\"http:\/\/gawker.com\/5287371\/andrew-breitbart-holocaust-museum-killer-was-a-multiculturalist\">he&#8217;s singing the multi-cultuarlism gospel<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Seriously?<br \/>\nNotice to everyone:\u00c2\u00a0 This is not a game of tit for tat.<\/p>\n<div class=\"plainMail\">\n<div class=\"plainMail\">How annoyed should I be by the reaction from various Fox News, most brazenly Greta Von Sustern<strong>, <\/strong>talk radio commentators and Sarah Palin over David Letterman&#8217;s joke?\u00c2\u00a0 I won&#8217;t say I care about defending or criticizing\u00c2\u00a0the joke &#8212; but what annoys me here is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2009\/06\/12\/conservative-columnist-bl_n_214655.html\">this\u00c2\u00a0rather weird\u00c2\u00a0suggestion that Letterman\u00c2\u00a0 is acting as a &#8220;surrogate&#8221; to Obama<\/a>, allowing Obama to &#8220;stay above it&#8221; while Letterman smears Palin.\u00c2\u00a0 This is an absurdity, and sheds more light on their never-ending politicized worldview than it does on Letterman.\u00c2\u00a0 (Letterman is Jay Leno&#8217;s Better, but has coasted for the past decade.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe he&#8217;s Conan&#8217;s equal now.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s probably a knock of Leno that it&#8217;s hard for me to imagine him getting into\u00c2\u00a0this sort of controversy.)<\/div>\n<p>How annoyed should I be by the high level of awareness I have on what it is Rush Limbaugh\u00c2\u00a0has said.\u00c2\u00a0 It exceeds the level of awarenesss that existed during the Bush Administration.\u00c2\u00a0 Would an elected Republican official please step into this leadership void currently being\u00c2\u00a0filled by Limbaugh so that I don&#8217;t have to hear so many dots of i&#8217;s and slashes of t&#8217;s of Limbaugh&#8217;s commentary?\u00c2\u00a0 So, I hear that Rush Limbaugh made a joke off of a bad reference from someone that Obama was acting &#8220;above it all&#8221; on the International stage &#8220;like a god&#8221; (bleh on that commentator) with the comment &#8220;one thing that God shares with Obama &#8212; <a href=\"What do Obama and God have in common?
