The only reason someone is going to have McGovern say &#8220;I&#8217;m George McGovern and I approve this message&#8221; is to impart the message &#8220;Even George McGovern!!!&#8221;  (Nixon goes to China, McGovern has an amicus against Unions.)<\/p>\n<p>Off the top of my head, I can&#8217;t think of any &#8220;Conservative Heroes&#8221; with that same effect.
