The music staff should have just used the printed form \u00e2\u20ac\u0153StarF**ker\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in the review. If the band objected, then it should have been pointed out to them that simply adopting such an affronting name for shock and publicity value is no guarantee that any legitimate and respected media outlet would print it. [&#8230;]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This is not a question of just letting cute young people \u00e2\u20ac\u0153\u00c3\u00a9peter les bourgeois,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a question of truly not wanting to open my Willamette Week<\/em> .<\/p>\n<p>Type in &#8220;fucking&#8221; into the search and there will be 1,490 results.\u00c2\u00a0 Type in &#8220;fuck&#8221; and there will be 1,670 results.\u00c2\u00a0 This particular issue presents us with <a href=\"http:\/\/localcut.wweek.com\/2009\/03\/11\/fuck-you-safari-building-song-blanket-party-ep\/\">this<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>If Bob the Builder wants a new theme song, I think he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s found one in Fuck You Safari\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Building Song.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Which poses the same problem for that reader, the explicit word in the name of the band.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe it&#8217;s a problem, but if it&#8217;s a problem it&#8217;s one that Alan failed to catch whenever editorial policy allowed it, sometime in that period in\u00c2\u00a0&#8220;<em>which I have been reading since the first issue in 1974<\/em>)&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Something mildly interesting in the latest Willamette Week.\u00c2\u00a0 This letter was published.
