A:  They don&#8217;t."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I see <a href=\"http:\/\/realoregonreality.blogspot.com\/2009\/03\/sam-video-sometimes-you-have-to-back.html\">this blog post\u00c2\u00a0regarding Sam Adams at &#8220;Real Oregon Reality&#8221;, <\/a>a blog I am aware of simply because I&#8217;m\u00c2\u00a0linked there\u00c2\u00a0(admittedly a good way of making me aware of\u00c2\u00a0a blog).<\/p>\n<p>I will make this one small comment which I can&#8217;t really reiterate enough.\u00c2\u00a0 I hear and see commentary from, say for instance KPAM&#8217;s Victoria Taft, that the Sam Adams situation is &#8220;turning Portland into a laughing-stock&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 This is an absurd statement.\u00c2\u00a0 There is no doubt in my mind that national name identification for Sam Adams is a rounding error, and Portland&#8217;s national identity remains essentially framed as a smaller version of Seattle &#8212;<em> it rains a lot and studies show we&#8217;re depressed<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>At any rate, Randy Leonard&#8217;s opinion of Adams has changed since that video&#8230; which, for some reason, <a href=\"http:\/\/bojack.org\/2009\/03\/a_new_low_point_for_portland.html\">the oh-so-eminant Portland blogging authority Jack Bog has ust discovered<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00c2\u00a0personally don&#8217;t have too much use for &#8220;Candidates Gone Wild&#8221;, which seems to do some harm and some good but probably a bit more good than harm on the political process, but I&#8217;m a bit humorless in some matters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I see this blog post\u00c2\u00a0regarding Sam Adams at &#8220;Real Oregon Reality&#8221;, a blog I am aware of simply because I&#8217;m\u00c2\u00a0linked there\u00c2\u00a0(admittedly a good way of making me aware of\u00c2\u00a0a blog).
