Okay.\u00c2\u00a0 Glenn Beck.\u00c2\u00a0 The Man of the Hour.\u00c2\u00a0 Mr.\u00c2\u00a0“Key to the City.”<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 Good for ratings, his curious foray into conspiratorializing.\u00c2\u00a0 And it has come to that point where the blogs — Huffington Post on down–\u00c2\u00a0as well\u00c2\u00a0Keith Olbermann can snatch out a few minutes of his program on a daily basis for their own amusement.<\/p>\n

We laughed when he left out a letter in spelling “Oligarchy”.<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 We scratched our head as he expounded on the art at Rockefeller Center<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0— can you spot Lenin and Marx?\u00c2\u00a0 (A bit more here<\/a>.)\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 And, yes did you catch that — he admitted it!<\/a><\/p>\n

All very good and well.\u00c2\u00a0 But I’m stuck on the Czar Quote thing<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 This just doesn’t strike me like good propaganda.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s like revealing the horror of Naziism by playing “Springtime for Hitler”<\/a>, or showing Hogan’s Heroes <\/a>programs.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 (Or… this<\/a>?)<\/p>\n

Actually I want to test this.\u00c2\u00a0 Take the video again.\u00c2\u00a0 Czar Quote thing<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Now, watch the video, but have — instead of your Van Jones and whatnot, play the clip and put in some quotes from Hitler and Goebbels.<\/p>\n

The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and\/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n
