{"id":3282,"date":"2009-01-02T22:21:28","date_gmt":"2009-01-03T05:21:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2009\/01\/02\/my-choice-for-the-republican-ticket-for-2012\/"},"modified":"2009-01-02T22:21:28","modified_gmt":"2009-01-03T05:21:28","slug":"my-choice-for-the-republican-ticket-for-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2009\/01\/02\/my-choice-for-the-republican-ticket-for-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"my choice for the Republican ticket for 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s never too early to figure out who should be the Republican presidential nominee for 2012.\u00c2\u00a0 Right?<\/p>\n<p>So Mitt Romney has basically set up a rolling campaign.\u00c2\u00a0 Mike Huckabee has a book and a book tour which has hit into Iowa and New Hampshire.\u00c2\u00a0 Bobby Jindal has suggested he wants to punt to 2016, more or less, and craftily suggested Sarah Palin may well just go for it as a sacrificial lamb.\u00c2\u00a0 I hesitate to say this, but Jeb Bush may well just do the same &#8212; and enjoy one term as Senator as a lead-in.\u00c2\u00a0 I suspect the General Paetreus Draft Boom will peter out.<\/p>\n<p>So who do I think the Republicans ought to nominate for the presidency in 2012?\u00c2\u00a0 Conservative Columnist and Game Show Host Pat Sajak. \u00c2\u00a0 They should pick him to run against Obama &#8212; as a thumb in the nose of what they perceive as Obama having won off of fluff.\u00c2\u00a0 Of course, Pat Sajack will need a running mate to fill in his weaknesses in the realm of government experience, particularly executive.\u00c2\u00a0 There I suggest his balance the ticket with fellow game show host and former Nixonite Ben Stein.\u00c2\u00a0 There&#8217;s your Republican ticket for 2012:\u00c2\u00a0 Sajak \/ Stein!<\/p>\n<p>You have a better idea&#8230; this far out&#8230; before Obama has even started office?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s never too early to figure out who should be the Republican presidential nominee for 2012.\u00c2\u00a0 Right?
