{"id":3208,"date":"2008-11-24T09:36:23","date_gmt":"2008-11-24T16:36:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2008\/11\/24\/this-post-is-going-to-bring-the-spam-machine-flinging\/"},"modified":"2008-11-24T09:37:38","modified_gmt":"2008-11-24T16:37:38","slug":"this-post-is-going-to-bring-the-spam-machine-flinging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2008\/11\/24\/this-post-is-going-to-bring-the-spam-machine-flinging\/","title":{"rendered":"This post is going to bring the spam-machine flinging"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/11\/24\/us\/24sex.html\">This<\/a> may just be the most awkward church sermon I would ever have the displeasure of having to hear.\u00c2\u00a0 He&#8217;s pacing in front of a bed, and uses the word &#8220;sexperiment&#8221;?\u00c2\u00a0 Isn&#8217;t this the type of thing we successfully cordioned off to the 1970s?\u00c2\u00a0 Then again, the economic woes\u00c2\u00a0throw us right\u00c2\u00a0back into the 1970s, so everything old is new again.\u00c2\u00a0 Ugh.\u00c2\u00a0 Have the children been sequestered away, at least?\u00c2\u00a0 Was there fore-warning for the congregants to stay away?\u00c2\u00a0 Or is this a stunt they have come to expect, and thus it&#8217;s all sorted itself out already?<\/p>\n<p>I overheard details of\u00c2\u00a0a stranger&#8217;s\u00c2\u00a0sex life the other day, a girl talking with a boy (I guess the &#8220;trusted friend&#8221; type, and you can take that however far you want) about relationships.\u00c2\u00a0 I will refrain from using names here, the great thing being I don&#8217;t know any names here.\u00c2\u00a0 The girl had a serious relationship, and thought there was an understanding that this was not necessarily monogamous.\u00c2\u00a0 So she did some guy on the side, and when she told her boyfriend about it, and asked &#8220;okay&#8221;, there was friction between the two.\u00c2\u00a0 And this is a lingering curfufel.\u00c2\u00a0 Now, of course, what was interesting was her explanation of the difference between the two acts of sex.\u00c2\u00a0 The non-serious mate was &#8220;so much fun&#8221;, with a lot of tango-ing, a lot of charging from every which direction.\u00c2\u00a0 The serious relationship was dull as Hell, with a (imagine a tedium here) &#8220;Bang.\u00c2\u00a0 Bang.\u00c2\u00a0 Bang.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 And\u00c2\u00a0 &#8220;Oh, just stop it already!&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 But it is great to have him around.<\/p>\n<p>Hearing further, I figured out what the real situation here was.\u00c2\u00a0 The awesome sex took place in a laundry room.\u00c2\u00a0 Of course the other sex was boring by comparison.\u00c2\u00a0 If she really wants to charge that part of the relationship up, she needs to start doing it with him in the Laundry Room &#8212; a room of real erotic possibilities.\u00c2\u00a0 That&#8217;s where all great sex takes place, I hear.\u00c2\u00a0 I almost wanted to interject this point into her discussion of her sex life problems, but that was unwise &#8212; I was having a difficult enough problem pretending that I wasn&#8217;t hearing them (and by them I mean her).<\/p>\n<p>I wonder, though, if there&#8217;s a healthy number of porn films which take place in a Laundry Room &#8212;
