What can one say about Pat Robertson’s endorsement of Rudy Giuliani that everyone else hasn’t and isn’t saying?<\/p>\n
Except to wonder about Giuliani’s words.\u00c2\u00a0 Without having easy ability to the transcript of the endorsement conference, I am stuck at this:<\/p>\n
“His confidence in me means a lot. His experience and advice will be a great asset to me and my campaign.<\/em>”<\/p>\n Advising him on Pat Roberton’s main reason in supporting him:<\/p>\n To me, the overriding issue before the American people is the defense of our population from the blood lust of Islamic terrorist.<\/em><\/p>\n His viewpoint of which, as expressed in September of 2001, was “I concur” to Jerry Falwell’s<\/p>\n “I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say ‘you helped this happen.'”\u00c2\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n … meaning the two issues were at one point tied together, and goshbedarned the double-standard Pat Robertson is placing<\/a> on the two parties.\u00c2\u00a0 But, really, Robertson is just protecting his piece of the power pie.\u00c2\u00a0 The thing is, in a political marriage such as this one, I don’t really know who I am supposed to yell “Foul” at… except we knew Robertson was a charltain already.<\/p>\n
