Ernie Chambers sued God last week. Angered by another lawsuit he considers frivolous, Chambers says he&#8217;s trying to make the point that anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic\">Chambers says in his lawsuit that God has made terroristic threats against the senator and his constituents, inspired fear and caused &#8220;widespread death, destruction and terrorization of millions upon millions of the Earth&#8217;s inhabitants.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic\">The Omaha senator, who skips morning prayers during the legislative session and often criticizes Christians, also says God has caused &#8220;fearsome floods &#8230; horrendous hurricanes, terrifying tornadoes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: italic\">He&#8217;s seeking a permanent injunction against the Almighty.<\/p>\n<p>Sigh.\u00c2\u00a0 Perhaps as a sign that the state senator from Nebraska is juggling items that are not necessarily, it reminds me of something.<\/p>\n<p>God.\u00c2\u00a0 Pause.\u00c2\u00a0 For allowing good things to happen to bad people.\u00c2\u00a0 Pause.\u00c2\u00a0 And Bad things to happen to good people.\u00c2\u00a0 Pause.\u00c2\u00a0 All in the name of &#8220;Working in Mysterious Ways&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 Pause.\u00c2\u00a0 Pause.\u00c2\u00a0 I would be a one billion to one underdog in this, but HEY!\u00c2\u00a0 Everybody loves the Underdog!<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; Never mind.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So.\u00c2\u00a0 Why Should God Bless America?
