When I read the briefing memo that triggered his suicide, I immediately remembered the LaRouche organization&#8217;s carefully crafted Get Dennis King campaign in 1980&#8211;and what I felt when they delivered their coup de grace: a phone call from one of the women in the organization&#8217;s W. 58th Street office asking, &#8220;Dennis, haven&#8217;t you committed suicide yet?&#8221; <\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dennisking.org\/suicide.htm\"><em>The shock I experienced from this phone call and preceding events quickly turned into anger and outrage, but this might not have been the case if I had faced the terrible kind of bind that Kronberg would face 27 years later. The suicide suggestion to him came not from an anonymous member of a group he disdained&#8211;as was the case with me&#8211;but from a man he had regarded with great reverence for over 30 years and from the organization that had been the center of his life during that entire period.
