Here’s how someone or other is addressing the matter of spotting Larouche’s politics<\/a>.<\/p>\n LaRouche is now a strickly right wing movement, devoted to licking Trump’s butthole. Also, Bubby C. Is dumb and doesn’t understamd the internet<\/ins>.<\/em><\/p>\n Didn’t get the memo.\u00c2\u00a0 Then again, as late June 7th we got the question of “Is he actually dead?<\/a>“…<\/p>\n Also, with a dead personality as personality cult leader, where we sometimes don’t differentiate actors from the leader, well… the statement stands.<\/p>\n II.\u00c2\u00a0 After five decades in the trenches, this tweet<\/a> is the final by-product of the Lyndon Larouche Movement.\u00c2\u00a0 (Or maybe this conceptual artwork<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 See?\u00c2\u00a0 They are leading a new Renaissance in Art.)<\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s one of those days where you wake up, pull up Twitter, see \u00e2\u20ac\u0153EatTheBabies\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is trending, and know you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re going to spend the rest of the day wondering if it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s too early to start drinking\/crying in public. You know, typical Friday stuff<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n I fully assumed this was trollery by O\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Keefe, who loves the theater of the absurd, or some other outfit<\/a>.<\/p>\n Since the election of Donald Trump, the Larouche Movement (or sometimes expressed as simply “Larouche”, for the two become\u00c2\u00a0synonymous) have made the news cycling three times.\u00c2\u00a0 First, as a footnote for the dodgy dossier alleging the Russian government having video of Trump getting urinated on.\u00c2\u00a0 (To be sure, in the deepfake era, someone probably does.)\u00c2\u00a0 That doesn’t garner a lot of analysis as most coverage didn’t get far enough beyond that headline because… good taste prevailed after all.<\/p>\n The second time was at his death, which came with a few (understandably) flawed obituaries and some casual remembrances of seeing them (them = him) at airports and the like.<\/p>\n Now we have the third big Larouche headliner of the Trump Era.\u00c2\u00a0 This one I had been expecting for a while, wondering how it would play out, and now that it’s played out — I can say with utmost confidence that it’s something that played out.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s an old tactic they’d surely get some mileage out that would help kick their moribund organization in the teeth — say something crazy at a controversial politician’s town hall, garner notice, declare victory.\u00c2\u00a0 I wouldn’t have known who they’d be sending out for the task — except for the certainty that it would be\u00c2\u00a0swastika adorned\u00c2\u00a0Jovi Val — too many swastikas.\u00c2\u00a0 I did have the better than 50 percent odds that their focus would be Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, because of geography and that everyone is watching her.<\/p>\n Bottom line is that we have the Trumps — The Donald and son — tweeting in basically a “Ha!\u00c2\u00a0 Ha!\u00c2\u00a0 Check out that crazy woman!” AOC is way too woke for that, so her comment is the “Show some compassion for this mentally ill person”.\u00c2\u00a0 Upon declaration from the Larouchies that they were pulling a performance stunt, she refurbished it to a “Still not sure, that’s up to the doctors to decide”.<\/p>\n Comparing responses to the closest parallel of tactics and coverage — Rachel Brown with Barney Frank — Frank’s quip garnered the conservative media reaction of Bill O’Reilly tsk-tsking Frank’s meanness — while craftily packaging footage spotlighting a brush-off with an earlier town hall antagonist and excising Brown in relaying his exchange to her.\u00c2\u00a0 AOC’s more sedative response draws the reaction from partisans — “Note she didn’t reject eating babies!” — showing both angles of response won’t fully win … fully.<\/p>\n And the partisan wrangling lands on the standard lobbing to both “sides” — “Trump Supporter” or “He ran 7 times as a DEMOCRAT!”\u00c2\u00a0 Curious to note one comment that has Larouche as an Obama supporter, either deliberately or unintentionally (at either rate conveniently) cutting his history to spotlight the Larouchies’ brief flirtation to Obama following the 2008 election and before they jumped to the Obama – Hitler Mustache caper in exploiting the fight against his Health Care policy.<\/p>\n Lastly, we have one new twist here, wholly unexpected.\u00c2\u00a0 They appear to be aiming to fill the organization’s shaky coffers by selling a line of t-shirts with the “Eat the Babies” sloganeering — sure to appeal to the Hot Topic shopping whatever it is the latest amalgam of goth, emo, punkish youth culture are called — slide next to their Emily the Strange t-shirt wear.\u00c2\u00a0 It may suggest a new direction for the Larocuhies, a turn away from politics — next up the “New Dark Ages” key-chain — think of the Oneida Utopia Community’s turn to selling silverware<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe they can\u00c2\u00a0market\u00c2\u00a0some “Double the Square” contraptions.\u00c2\u00a0 It’ll make a mint, I’m sure of it!<\/p>\n Their defense:\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Sometimes, only satire works<\/a>. … Though, only if anyone anywhere can figure out contexts.\u00c2\u00a0 For all you new fans of Lissie, go to 1:37:20<\/a>, and we’ll get the fight against people who view Man as Animal, and the problem of people who think going to clubs is fun.\u00c2\u00a0 (“Going to Clubs isn’t find, making discoveries that have never been made before is what’s fun!”) So… descriptors:\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0A fringe political group claimed responsibility for a strange stunt<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0A Pro-Trump conservative group<\/a>.<\/p>\n Odd analysis from Russia Today:\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0The truth is that both sides got played<\/a>. They posted images on Fb on Wednesday of LaRouche PAC members who they mentioned had been \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcdifficult college students with a polemical marketing campaign, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Eat the Children,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6to scale back the planet\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s inhabitants one baby at a time!<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<\/p>\n How did it backfire, exactly? The troll got their airplay. Even if REAL media outted the plant later, the EatTheBabies hashtag has already trended<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 And you place it in the past tense.<\/p>\n When confronted by an obvious fruitcake, the reaction of mature adults is to wait a bit for them to run out of steam, then ignore them and get on with business.<\/em><\/p>\n Nay… they exploited the Meme-topia Age<\/a>… though<\/a>, really just for a 15 minute burst<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 And a bunch of pop culture references lobbed about.<\/p>\n Both stories proved irresistible fodder for Twitter, and understandably so. The bizarre baby-eating outburst was entertaining, although some on the right genuinely seemed to assign it news value for Ocasio-Cortez\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s response, in which she did not condemn cannibalizing infants.<\/em><\/p>\n Neither Trump has apologized or removed their factually incorrect tweets<\/a>.<\/p>\n But even these doomsayers rarely advocate anything more extreme than shifting to renewable energy. The baby-eating stunt implies that there is some deeper, destructive side to environmentalism. The woman referenced Magnus S\u00c3\u00b6derlund, a Swedish behavioral scie<\/a>ntist\u00c2\u00a0who recently raised the possibility of human flesh as a sustainable food source<\/a>. S\u00c3\u00b6derlund, however, is simply a single person without any connection with Ocasio-Cortez, and not even he was making the proposal in full seriousness<\/em>.<\/p>\n Yuck. I thought we cured LaRouche disease years ago. Is this a new antibiotic resistant form? AOC handled that clown show elegantly and like the jujitsu-ista she is, turned it around against the stupid’s. While there are a couple issues I don’t see eye to eye with her on, I remain a steady fan of our modern day La Passionara! Go AOC<\/a>!<\/p>\n POINT:\u00c2\u00a0 This was a masterful troll. It was beautifully implemented and a thing that should be admired at least on some level. ALL of the great or even good memery and trolling seems to be coming from the right, these days. While the woman\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s reference to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153bombing\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Russia may seem odd, the group supports both President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr., wow, there’s the name of a screwball that I had not thought of in a long time<\/a>.<\/p>\n Between those fools and the Hare Krishnas, they added more obstacles to air travel in the 80s\u00c2\u00a0than TSA did post 9\/11- they would jockey for the prime real estate at stairwells and escalators to \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcengage\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 people\u00c2\u00a0who just wanted to run away..<\/em><\/p>\n I thought Ocascio-Cortez\u00c2\u00a0had better security than this. She needs it. The group posted photos to Facebook on October 2 that includes a message about\u00c2\u00a0eating children<\/a>, as well as other more earnest messages in support of Donald Trump.<\/em><\/p>\n
