{"id":17194,"date":"2018-04-05T15:33:55","date_gmt":"2018-04-05T22:33:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=17194"},"modified":"2018-04-05T15:33:55","modified_gmt":"2018-04-05T22:33:55","slug":"the-recurring-problem-of-press-coverage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2018\/04\/05\/the-recurring-problem-of-press-coverage\/","title":{"rendered":"the recurring problem of press coverage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The question of the day:\u00c2\u00a0 do you want to see the youtube videos of the woman who shot at youtube headquarters?<\/p>\n<p>I have no answer to that question, and won&#8217;t think too much of it if you do.\u00c2\u00a0 Some of them are&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/radaronline.com\/exclusives\/2018\/04\/youtube-shooter-iran-persian-videos-selena-gomez-killer-mock-nasim-aghdam\/\">interesting enough<\/a>&#8230; as cultural commentary&#8230; of a sort.\u00c2\u00a0 News reports initially came in that they&#8217;re &#8220;random and all over the place&#8221;, but new reports seem to have gotten a handle on the basic tenets of her online presence.\u00c2\u00a0 Now she&#8217;s an &#8220;Iranian born&#8221; &#8220;Vegan Vlogger&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>What I&#8217;m left with, though, is that nauseous question of seeing images from her youtube channels on the teevee news&#8230; Inevitably, this will be out there, and online outlets will flush this all out for anyone&#8217;s perturbed edification&#8230; but somehow, I&#8217;d just as soon have it at least a step or two away from the massest media fame-maker.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The question of the day:\u00c2\u00a0 do you want to see the youtube videos of the woman who shot at youtube headquarters?
