{"id":17125,"date":"2018-03-04T15:51:34","date_gmt":"2018-03-04T22:51:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=17125"},"modified":"2018-03-04T15:51:34","modified_gmt":"2018-03-04T22:51:34","slug":"radio-radio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2018\/03\/04\/radio-radio\/","title":{"rendered":"radio radio&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Appreciating the odd shifts of &#8220;Classic Rock&#8221; \/ &#8220;Album Oriented Rock&#8221; radio playlists, on what is considered &#8220;classic&#8221; now.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s not so much the idea that some 90s (for lack of a better term) &#8220;Nu Metal&#8221; slides through in the &#8220;what the demographic that was listening to Led Zeppelin at the time was listening to now&#8221; manner &#8212; that&#8217;s understandable enough.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s the sudden appearance of Twisted Sister &#8212; &#8220;We&#8217;re Not Going to Take It&#8221;, and Dio &#8212; &#8220;Rainbow in the Dark&#8221;, or&#8230; the music that was just passe at the time finds its way&#8230; sliding back into the mix.\u00c2\u00a0 Back in the day, you had Dio used as a punchline &#8212; playing at the South Park dance &#8212; the joke being, of course:\u00c2\u00a0 of no interest or use to the hep kids of South Park.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond it&#8230; Rock appears to be dead.\u00c2\u00a0 For the Millionth Time.
