{"id":16859,"date":"2017-10-27T15:37:46","date_gmt":"2017-10-27T22:37:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=16859"},"modified":"2017-10-27T15:45:58","modified_gmt":"2017-10-27T22:45:58","slug":"things-that-anger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2017\/10\/27\/things-that-anger\/","title":{"rendered":"things that anger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s\u00c2\u00a0this noxious\u00c2\u00a0&#8220;truther&#8221; logic<a href=\"http:\/\/www.oregonlive.com\/portland\/index.ssf\/2017\/10\/max_stabbing_suspect_survivor.html\"> on this<\/a>, which strikes me as a spurious maligning attack on M.F&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><em>A short time later The Oregonian\/OregonLive received an anonymous email that included screen shots from a video documenting the initial encounter between the two men, along with claims that Fletcher was a member of\u00c2\u00a0Rose City Antifa, a prominent antifascist group in Portland, who had reason to &#8220;fight&#8221; Christian because of their prior meeting.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If I spot this right, some dolt dropped this to the Oregonian in an attempt to dig some kind of hole in his version of events, how he came to have his neck slashed when defending two Muslim girls on a Max train, and find some inconsistency or fault in his story and alternate reason for him to confront the man who killed two people on the Max train.\u00c2\u00a0 I suppose we&#8217;re dipping back at his defense plea in court, &#8220;Not Guilty of anything but defending myself from the violent assault of M. F.!&#8221; &#8212; a signal that he had personalized him to a new mortal enemy.<\/p>\n<p>So they met before.\u00c2\u00a0 Or occupied the same space once.\u00c2\u00a0 Had a brief confrontation.\u00c2\u00a0 One shouting hateful rhetoric, the other juggling balls around.\u00c2\u00a0 Here he is in the same screenshot, see?.<br \/>\nAnd from here, we gather he&#8217;s a member of &#8220;antifa&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 Because&#8230; that joker clown get up that he&#8217;s wearing?\u00c2\u00a0 That&#8217;s how those antifa extremists dress in doing their dastardly deeds, right?\u00c2\u00a0 RIGHT?<\/p>\n<p>(Turn over to\u00c2\u00a0the attack ad on special Congressional election candidate Jon Ossoff in\u00c2\u00a0Georgia where the Republican running against him used some footage of bandana-ed hoodlums and the line &#8220;He&#8217;s one of them&#8221;, and somehow I can&#8217;t imagine the clown get up making the political ad cut of negative images.)<\/p>\n<p>No.\u00c2\u00a0 The man&#8217;s not antifa.\u00c2\u00a0 But, and, you know&#8230; <em>like it matters<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Pursuing the comments section brings to mind the axiom &#8220;Never Read the Bottom Half of the Internet&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 And we see the strange whisps of victim blaming&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Not exactly Rocky Balboa&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 A toss out of a call\u00c2\u00a0of warning to any &#8220;would be &#8220;Clint Eastwoods&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 Surely the two men killed on the Max train (one a military veteran and Republican) better fits his demands for buffness, and surely the two girls assaulted fit the criteria even less.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s\u00c2\u00a0this noxious\u00c2\u00a0&#8220;truther&#8221; logic on this, which strikes me as a spurious maligning attack on M.F&#8230;.
