{"id":16637,"date":"2017-06-27T17:10:08","date_gmt":"2017-06-28T00:10:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=16637"},"modified":"2017-06-27T17:10:08","modified_gmt":"2017-06-28T00:10:08","slug":"the-separate-wings-of-the-party","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2017\/06\/27\/the-separate-wings-of-the-party\/","title":{"rendered":"the separate wings of the party"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m reading an article about Ru Paul, where she is on her television show in her newly energized post &#8211; Trump &#8220;Opposition&#8221; &#8220;Resistance&#8221; role, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/magazine\/archive\/2017\/06\/rupaul-gets-political\/524529\/\">mocking the Rust Beltians who swung to Trump<\/a>. \u00c2\u00a0It&#8217;s some interesting hectoring on his part.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153If you were a factory worker and your job was to put this to this from 9 to 5, we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t do that anymore,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d he said, his soft voice carrying the imperious, jokey edge familiar to viewers of\u00c2\u00a0RuPaul\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Drag Race, his reality-TV show. Then he referenced a viral video from Ts Madison, a transgender activist and former porn star: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153You better step your pussy up.
