{"id":16031,"date":"2016-11-09T17:07:20","date_gmt":"2016-11-10T00:07:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=16031"},"modified":"2016-11-09T17:07:20","modified_gmt":"2016-11-10T00:07:20","slug":"the-presence-of-the-vowels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2016\/11\/09\/the-presence-of-the-vowels\/","title":{"rendered":"the presence of the vowels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If only states that began with vowels counted&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Trump would have really, really cleaned up.<\/p>\n<p>Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Oklahoma, Utah.\u00c2\u00a0 Meanwhile all Clinton has is Indiana and Oreon.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an electoral firewall with the vowel states tat the Clinton camp could not overcome.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know what the Democrats need to do to break through this front.\u00c2\u00a0 Perhaps propose some vowel pandering program?\u00c2\u00a0 I know, for instance, that Obama carried the Rust Belt states that swung over Trump&#8217;s way with the &#8220;GE Bail-out&#8221; and by dent of the Rich Guy he was running against was not as crass and so &#8220;like them&#8221; as the rich guy Clinton had to run against.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the answer lies in introducing the word &#8220;New&#8221; into the states.\u00c2\u00a0 New York, New Jersey, and New Mexico &#8212; Clinton swept the &#8220;New States&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 Think about it, some enterprising Democratic state legislator in one of those states.\u00c2\u00a0 You could sell it as a way to reinvigorate the economy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If only states that began with vowels counted&#8230; Trump would have really, really cleaned up.
