{"id":15745,"date":"2016-08-17T16:40:49","date_gmt":"2016-08-17T23:40:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=15745"},"modified":"2016-08-17T16:40:49","modified_gmt":"2016-08-17T23:40:49","slug":"the-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2016\/08\/17\/the-others\/","title":{"rendered":"the others"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Showing that the Green Party knew what it was doing in not jumping over to the gimmicky campaign of one celebrity candidate Roseanne Barr, we see that&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/roseanne-barr-us-would-be-900413?utm_source=zergnet.com&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=zergnet_1061408\">Roseanne Barr endorses fellow celebrity candidate Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And the fruit of her campaign comes to bear.\u00c2\u00a0 She has a movie out about her 2012 presidential campaign, which I saw at the time rightly described as neither relevant for a career comeback or a pertinent commentary on the political process.\u00c2\u00a0 I suppose the movie displays the theme of the rogue candidate traversing America, searching for America&#8217;s soul.<\/p>\n<p>For what it&#8217;s worth, meet <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gloria_La_Riva\">this year&#8217;s nominee of this political party<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Doesn&#8217;t have the name value of Roseanne Barr, but is a veteran of various marxist parties.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re in three states, you can vote for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publicopiniononline.com\/story\/news\/local\/2016\/08\/15\/dont-like-trump-clinton-theres-prohibition-party-candidate\/88387088\/\">Prohibition Party candidate<\/a> &#8212; a party which, evidently, has heeled its riff after some deaths amongst some factional leaders.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m 78. The other fellows in the Prohibition Party decided it was my turn,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Hedges said. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153If I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t do it now I may never have another chance.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And, sure, we&#8217;re rolling deep down in the decimal points, and not getting us back toward figuring the Libertarian and Green Party votes, who will make up the lion&#8217;s share of the paltry returns for third party candidates.\u00c2\u00a0 (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/articles\/2016-08-09\/bible-says-no-to-trump-clinton-choice-constitution-party-candidate-says\">Throw in the Constitution Party<\/a>, which I guess you can consider the third third party &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politics1.com\/p2016.htm\">not much happening past that one<\/a>).\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m pondering how much support third parties will get in this presidential election &#8212; it&#8217;ll surely surpass 2012, but not significantly.<\/p>\n<p>What will it take to get up to bring the Democratic &#8212; Republican Duopoly down to 95 percent, and the fringe-fest of third parties up to 5 percent total?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Showing that the Green Party knew what it was doing in not jumping over to the gimmicky campaign of one celebrity candidate Roseanne Barr, we see that&#8230; Roseanne Barr endorses fellow celebrity candidate Donald Trump.
