{"id":15424,"date":"2016-04-15T16:33:28","date_gmt":"2016-04-15T23:33:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=15424"},"modified":"2016-04-20T18:12:04","modified_gmt":"2016-04-21T01:12:04","slug":"i-have-no-clue-whether-students-for-trump-supports-trump-or-not","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2016\/04\/15\/i-have-no-clue-whether-students-for-trump-supports-trump-or-not\/","title":{"rendered":"i have no clue whether students for trump supports trump or not"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gocomics.com\/pearlsbeforeswine\/2016\/04\/15\">Pearls Before Swine on Campus Free Speech<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A bit at the heart of why some people who shouldn&#8217;t much like Donald Trump based on his politics (<em>What brand of conservative are you?\u00c2\u00a0 The answer is the one that values bombast above all else.\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/reason.com\/blog\/2016\/04\/11\/heres-more-evidence-the-trump-movement-i\">See hereabouts<\/a>.<\/em>) throw some support for him.\u00c2\u00a0 And so comes in the case of the Portland State University student who s<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wweek.com\/2016\/04\/13\/four-questions-for-psu-students-for-trump-founder-volodymyr-kolychev\/\">tarted up a Students for Trump group<\/a>, and ended up shouted down by protesters.\u00c2\u00a0 The name &#8220;Students for Trump&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p><em>If this was Students for Cruz or Students for Kasich, they probably would have shown up and screamed at us, but it wouldn&#8217;t have been as interesting and it wouldn&#8217;t have been on this same level.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>All right.\u00c2\u00a0 So this is just a students Conservatives or Republicans group, with the moniker &#8220;Trump&#8221; tossed in as act of provocation.\u00c2\u00a0 Oh, for the good old days when you knew &#8220;Students for Goldwater&#8221; was actually for Goldwater.<\/p>\n<p><em>I disagree with much of his economic policies. What I like about him is that he is a symbol of reaction<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Interesting that he embraces that word.\u00c2\u00a0 But I suppose.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pearls Before Swine on Campus Free Speech.
