{"id":14899,"date":"2015-09-15T17:25:06","date_gmt":"2015-09-16T00:25:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=14899"},"modified":"2015-09-19T16:52:37","modified_gmt":"2015-09-19T23:52:37","slug":"mike-gravel-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2015\/09\/15\/mike-gravel-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Mike Gravel update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mike Gravel covering&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bA2LgJviH9w\">The Beatles<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Not once, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0S2zkh6ZOGE\">twice<\/a>.<br \/>\nThere is a contradiction here, isn&#8217;t there?\u00c2\u00a0 As he now lines up in talks with&#8230; Lyndon Larouche&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mI7CTSrsUt8\">No&#8230; It&#8217;s Mike Gravel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Schiller Institute has announced a special event for Sept. 12 in Manhattan, entitled \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Creating a Peace Paradigm: A New Era for Mankind Where We All Become Truly Human.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Due to the importance of this event, it will be presented as a live webcast<\/em>.<br \/>\nUh huh.<\/p>\n<p><em>The event\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s feature presentation will be a dialogue between American Statesman Lyndon LaRouche and two other veteran members of the U.S. Presidency, Ramsey Clark (Attorney General 1967-1969) and Senator Mike Gravel (US Senator Alaska 1969-1981)<\/em>.<br \/>\nOkay.\u00c2\u00a0 That&#8217;s where this gets a little fuzzy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Two other veteran members of the US Presidency&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>From my definition of things, there are 43 &#8220;members of the US Presidency&#8221;.\u00c2\u00a0 George Washington through Barack Obama.\u00c2\u00a0 Currently alive, there are five.<\/p>\n<p>I suppose if we define it to include people who run for President, than Mike Gravel belongs there alongside Lyndon Larouche.\u00c2\u00a0 As does, oh, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2015\/09\/01\/the-deez-nuts-of-the-1960s-through-to-the-1980s\/\">Deez Nuts<\/a>, who will have the same &#8220;footnote&#8221; of historical import.<\/p>\n<p>Ramsey Clark was in a presidential administration once.<\/p>\n<p>In the &#8220;Fantasy Shadow Government contraption&#8221; definition, laid out by Larouche&#8230; which I don&#8217;t know quite what is\u00c2\u00a0 &#8212; any figure of import that Larouche can rope into a &#8220;dialouge&#8221;? &#8230; I&#8217;m a little curious if Ramsey Clark and Mike Gravel consider themselves &#8220;veteran members&#8221; of the &#8220;US Presidency&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><em>With all eyes on Manhattan on the eve of the U.N. General Assembly and Pope Francis\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 first visit to the United States, Mr. LaRouche\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s intervention into Manhattan, to shape the debate about the very existence of the future of mankind, is something you do not want to miss.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Yes, it&#8217;s another one of those &#8220;most momentus weeks in Mankind&#8217;s History&#8221;&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2014\/12\/30\/mike-gravel-marijuana_n_6396646.html\">Hm&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Former U.S. Sen. Mike Gravel (D-Alaska) is the new CEO of a marijuana company that produces cannabis-infused products for both recreational and medical use, the company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/id\/102300821#.\" target=\"_hplink\">announced<\/a> Tuesday.<br \/>\nThe Alaskan Democrat and 2008 presidential contender will lead KUSH, a subsidiary owned by Cannabis Sativa, Inc. Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson serves as CEO of Cannabis Sativa, and Gravel is on that company&#8217;s board of directors.<br \/>\nKUSH will develop and market new marijuana-infused products under Gravel&#8217;s leadership, the company said in a press release.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; Is marijuana cool to the org now?<br \/>\nI suppose you make your compromises with things, as one time firm anti-monarchist Jeremy Corbyn ascedes to the formality of<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-3234276\/Republican-Jeremy-Corbyn-pledge-loyalty-Queen-Right-Honourable-member-Privy-Council.html\"> kissing the Queen&#8217;s hand and pledging servant upon ascension to Labour Party head<\/a>.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_monarchs_in_Britain_by_length_of_reign\">Incidentally<\/a>&#8230;\u00c2\u00a0 once upon a time a drug dealer anathema to the Larouche org, now there&#8217;s a drug dealer (Gravel) that&#8217;s been drafted into the &#8220;Presidency&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>As for Corbyn&#8230; the closest the Nation gets to addressing his s<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thenation.com\/article\/why-a-left-wing-socialist-is-poised-to-become-the-leader-of-britains-labour-party\/\">ideshow with the CEC<\/a>, though not quite there:<\/p>\n<p><em><span id=\"socialHighlighted\"><span id=\"tweetButton\" class=\"socialButtonHighlight clickheresocial\"><\/span> <span id=\"emailButton\" class=\"socialButtonHighlight clickheresocial\"><\/span><\/span>Then there are\u00e2\u20ac\u201dpredictably, given Corbyn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s long record of support for the Palestinian cause\u00e2\u20ac\u201dthe accusations of anti-Semitism. Not against Corbyn himself, who is universally regarded as a thoroughly decent man. Instead the attacks are classic \u00e2\u20ac\u0153guilt by association\u00e2\u20ac\u009d tactics, in which Corbyn is alleged to have shared a platform with various objectionable characters whom he has then been pressed to denounce or disavow\u00e2\u20ac\u201dby groups and individuals who have been happily doing Benjamin Net- anyahu\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s dirty work for years.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-government\/2015\/09\/16\/democrats-protest-rigged-debate-schedule-outside-dnc-headquarters\/\">Outside the DNC<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>As a self-identified representative from Lyndon LaRouche\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s LaRouchePAC handed out literature criticizing the Clinton administration\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s repeal of Glass-Steagall, and protesters struck up a rendition of Bob Dylan\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Times They Are-A Changin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d security guards stood outside, helping some DNC staffers get in and out of the building.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-government\/2015\/09\/16\/democrats-want-debates-as-gop-has-one\/\">AND<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>The crowd was about two-thirds supporters of former Maryland Governor Martin O\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Malley (whose failed administration, which imposed taxes on rainwater, lost his state to the GOP in 2014), and one-third supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), with a couple of Lyndon Larouche fans on the sidelines to promote their arcane economic theologies.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And We&#8217;ll find out soon enough how much of the vote <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pentictonwesternnews.com\/federalelection\/328125421.html\">Brian Gray<\/a>, larouchite for Canadian office, does.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mike Gravel covering&#8230; The Beatles.\u00c2\u00a0 Not once, but twice.
