Donald Trump has publicly lashed out after he was banned from one of the biggest gatherings of conservative activists over controversial comments he made about Fox News host Megyn Kelly.
\nIn an interview with CNN on Friday, the GOP frontrunner\u00c2\u00a0appeared\u00c2\u00a0to imply that Kelly ‘unfairly’ grilled him about his history of insulting women during a televised debate because she was menstruating.
\nHe remarked that there ‘was blood coming out of her… wherever’, sparking outrage and causing RedState’s Erick Erickson to boot him off the line-up of the high-profile event in Georgia.
\n<\/span>On Saturday, Trump took to Twitter to hit back at his critics, writing: ‘So many “politically correct” fools in our country. We have to all get back to work and stop wasting time and energy on nonsense!’
\nIn a later post on Saturday morning, the 2016 presidential candidate added that his remarks about Kelly were not made in reference to her menstrual cycle – but to the host’s nose<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Yes, people sometimes run aground and accidentally bump up against sexist \/ racist \/ offensive \/ demeaning tropes and sayings.\u00c2\u00a0 And sometimes they don’t.\u00c2\u00a0 And there are instances when they don’t, but it can be brought back to some context to doesn’t reflect the person as a whole.\u00c2\u00a0 Then there’s this case.\u00c2\u00a0 Which is… entertaining, I guess?<\/a><\/div>\n

“You\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve called women you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t like \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfat pigs,\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcdogs,\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcslobs,\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcdisgusting animals,\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 ” Kelly said.<\/em>
\nTrump cut her off with his index finger in the air, quipping it was “only Rosie O\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Donnell.” When the crowd\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s roar settled
\n<\/em>Because the Donald Trump partisans in the crowd really really have strong opinions about Rosie O’Donnell?

\n“Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s looks. You once told a contestant on The Celebrity Apprentice it would be a \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcpretty picture\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president? And how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who was likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the ‘war on women’?”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The one thing you can kind of give Trump here is that he knows apologizing is useless, politically.\u00c2\u00a0 It won’t win him any converts.\u00c2\u00a0 And so… the schtick continues.\u00c2\u00a0 So you contort the line… “No.\u00c2\u00a0 I mean the nose.\u00c2\u00a0 Blood coming out of the nose!”\u00c2\u00a0 Because, really… blood could be coming out of anywhere in a figurative sense.\u00c2\u00a0 A Presidential debate with really high ratings, as everyone wants to see “what Trump will say”…\u00c2\u00a0 and I overhear a conversation from some apoliticals on how “Trump looked good, but that’s what he does” — I’m pretty sure in the “entertainment” sense, and not boosting his presidential ambitions, but who knows?<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
