Indeed, he does, in a practically stream-of-consciousness fashion: His announcement speech was like Finnegans Wake as reimagined by an unlettered person with a short attention span. The value of speaking one\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s mind depends heavily on the mind in question, and Trump\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s is second-rate<\/em>.<br \/>\nThat is more interesting than just about everyone&#8217;s announcment speech this side of Lincoln Chafee.\u00c2\u00a0 It is worth noting that while some compare his speech to James Joyce, others compare it (or at least a couple lines in it) to&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/columns\/latin\/6605446\/mana-donald-trump-immigrants-mexicans-immigration-hitler-los-angeles-concert-staples-center\">Adolf Hitler<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-journalism\/2015\/06\/18\/chris-matthews-monmouth-university-poll-a-joke-because-ben-carson-leading\/\">Ben Carson apparently leads in the polls<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 (or at least one poll).\u00c2\u00a0 This may be credited to two things: one &#8212; fallout from South Carolina, and two &#8212; there&#8217;s more than a dozen candidates and he&#8217;s at 11 percent.<\/div>\n<div>In more relevant policy news&#8230; he dips and darts at the Deptartment [<em>sic<\/em>] of Education and offers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/andrewkaczynski\/ben-carson-deptartment-of-education-should-monitor-for-polit#.kqmrWZgBJ\">this conservative position<\/a>&#8230;<br \/>\n<em>Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson says that part of his plan for education would be to have the Department of Education monitor colleges and universities for \u00e2\u20ac\u0153political bias\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and withhold funding from them if it exists.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153I think the Department of Education should monitor institutions of higher education for political bias and withhold federal funding if it exists,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Carson told Las Vegas radio host Heidi Harris on Thursday<\/em>.<br \/>\nNever go wrong charging against Marxist Professors.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/2015\/06\/17\/carly_fiorinas_super_pac_trolls_america_their_insane_acronym_acrobatics_say_it_all\/\">News from the Carly Fiorina campaign<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><em>In response to a reprimand from the Federal Election Commission, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Carly for America,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d a super PAC launched in February to support the presidential candidacy of Carly Fiorina, has changed its name to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153CARLY for America.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d The organization had fallen on the wrong side of a federal regulation prohibiting super PACs from using a candidate\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s name and opted to, uh, fix the problem by replacing Fiorina\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first name with an acronym that also happens to be Fiorina\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first name.<\/em><\/div>\n<div>It&#8217;s the nature of these things.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;m a tad puzzled by Lindsey Graham&#8217;s<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcclatchydc.com\/2015\/06\/20\/270687\/sen-lindsey-graham-theres-no-doubt.html\"> framing for his speech<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;<em>There can be no doubt that the shooting on Wednesday night was racially motivated and signals to all of us that the scars of our history are still with us today,&#8221; Graham, R-S.C., said in a statement Saturday. &#8220;Throughout our country, we still have much to do in the name of equality.
