Doc Hastings\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Central Washington district received the most federal money from the 2009 stimulus act, snagging more than 500 times as much per resident than the bottom-ranked district of former Congressman Anthony Weiner of New York.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brookings.edu\/about\/projects\/bpea\/papers\/2014\/arra-political-economy-discretionary-spending\">conclusion by three economists<\/a> released Thursday by The Brookings Institution who tracked how $308 billion from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was dispersed around the nation.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>But the paper says Hastings\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 4th District includes Spokane. Spokane is actually represented by Hastings\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 fellow Republican, Rep.
