{"id":13281,"date":"2013-10-16T10:25:31","date_gmt":"2013-10-16T17:25:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=13281"},"modified":"2013-10-17T08:18:11","modified_gmt":"2013-10-17T15:18:11","slug":"demanding-answers-why-oh-why-were-the-federal-parks-closed-when-we-shut-down-the-federal-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2013\/10\/16\/demanding-answers-why-oh-why-were-the-federal-parks-closed-when-we-shut-down-the-federal-government\/","title":{"rendered":"Doc Hastings is demanding answers: why, oh why were the Federal Parks closed when we shut down the Federal Government?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The big news out of Congressman Doc Hastings on the matter of the shutdown has been that he <a href=\"http:\/\/seattletimes.com\/html\/localnews\/2021951199_shutdowndelegationxml.html\">has kept his mouth closed for as long as possible<\/a>. \u00c2\u00a0Eventually we do see that he is interviewed in local media, and I see that he keeps some kind of half hearted standard line &#8212; &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/newstalkkit.com\/hastings-says-house-republican-just-want-to-talk\/\">Republicans just want to talk<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>From there, we see that from the chairman perch Hastings has in the Congress, he is basically required by partisan mandate to do this. \u00c2\u00a0Hearings. \u00c2\u00a0Into the government shutdown of parks. \u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2013\/10\/16\/national-park-service-shutdown-issa-hastings\/2994167\/\">Why, or why were these Parks barricaded<\/a>?
