Mentioned Hillary Clinton as being there &#8220;<i>if Kerry is significantly behind come August<\/i>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What is it with the media&#8217;s obsession with Hillary Clinton&#8217;s political ambitions &#8212; none of which every quite match reality?<\/p>\n<p>We also have been entreated with the &#8220;prospect&#8221; of <a href=\"http:\/\/slate.msn.com\/id\/2096568\/\"><i>John McCain<\/i><\/a> being asked to be Kerry&#8217;s running mate.  Absurd on the face of it.
