{"id":12150,"date":"2013-06-16T11:49:03","date_gmt":"2013-06-16T18:49:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/?p=12150"},"modified":"2013-06-16T11:51:03","modified_gmt":"2013-06-16T18:51:03","slug":"so-about-senator-inhofe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.struat.com\/election\/2013\/06\/16\/so-about-senator-inhofe\/","title":{"rendered":"so, about Senator Inhofe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Oregonian publishes a feature, apparently, where your questions are answered on a wide variety of matters of pertinence.<\/p>\n<p>So it is I saw a question this past week&#8230; asking&#8230; if it is&#8230; possible&#8230; that the Department of Homeland Security&#8230; as personified by the decision making apparatus of President Barack Hussein Anti-Christ Gun Hater Obama&#8230; is buying up ammunition&#8230; causing shortages &#8230; for the purpose of creating shortages&#8230; to take the ammunition away from God fearing Gun toting Americans just interested in exercising their Second Amendment rights?<\/p>\n<p>Or, roughly that.<\/p>\n<p>And it is here that I&#8217;m left scratching my head wondering&#8230; Where the hell did that come from, and why is this being peddled to mainstream bunk \/ debunk purposes?\u00c2\u00a0 (Shouldn&#8217;t it at least be in &#8220;politi-fact&#8221; land?)<\/p>\n<p>The Oregonian&#8217;s answer was a non-answer, not addressing the issue head on, but explaining what political figures are peddling this.<\/p>\n<p>Looking back over the matter, I see the dailypaul headline:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailypaul.com\/284772\/ok-senator-inhofe-confirms-obamas-dhs-buying-up-domestic-ammo-to-bypass-2nd-amendment\">OK Senator Inhofe confirms Obama&#8217;s DHS buying up domestic ammo to bypass 2nd Amendment.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sigh.\u00c2\u00a0 Naturally if he said something hawkish about foreign or\u00c2\u00a0surveillance issues, they would not use the word &#8220;confirms&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com\/2013\/05\/inhofe-gun-conspiracy-theory.php\">Look into the issue further<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>Republican lawmakers are pushing legislation aimed at combating a threat to gun rights that even the National Rifle Association has described as pure fiction. [&#8230;]\u00c2\u00a0Last fall, the NRA issued a statement saying the claim was being pushed in an \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Internet rumor mill\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and was designed to \u00e2\u20ac\u0153stir up fear.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d The \u00e2\u20ac\u0153more incendiary authors,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d the group said, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153suggest that these government agencies are preparing for a war with the American people.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hm.\u00c2\u00a0 Interestingly&#8230;\u00c2\u00a0 Too many problems to sort out with this story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Oregonian publishes a feature, apparently, where your questions are answered on a wide variety of matters of pertinence.
