No comment from Alex Jones on whether this tactic is more effective than keeping your thoughts to your own Twitter.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Which is&#8230;\u00c2\u00a0 your identity of your supporters of &#8220;US Labor Party inventor&#8221;&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2013\/04\/21\/sea-cbs\/#dj7fD3vyg2gVHpLK.99\">The Syrian Electronic Army<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Syrian Electronic Army, a group of pro-regime hackers, reportedly took over the <a id=\"KonaLink0\" href=\"http:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2013\/04\/21\/sea-cbs\/#\"><span style=\"color: #1f81e5;\">Twitter account<\/span><\/a> of CBS\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 60 Minutes as well as other CBS brands yesterday, saying the U.S. is \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcin bed\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 with terrorists.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This is the second Twitter take-over in the last week for the SEA, which often attacks publications for their coverage of the situation in Syria. The group took responsibility for the hack on its website and in a YouTube video, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/allthingsd.com\/20130421\/syrian-pro-government-hackers-take-their-fight-to-cbs-and-twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\">AllThingsD<\/a>, which shows screenshots of the 60 minutes Twitter as well as new SEA Twitter and Facebook accounts (the social media giants continue to take down SEA accounts.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The statement on it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s website reads, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Syrian Electronic Army <a id=\"KonaLink1\" href=\"http:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2013\/04\/21\/sea-cbs\/#\"><span style=\"color: #1f81e5;\">hacked<\/span><\/a> today several Twitter accounts of CBS-American Network and published thought it the truth.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In this weekend\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s hack, the SEA tweeted fake headlines that accused the U.S. government of helping terrorists with money and weapons of mass destruction. It then linked to a number of websites. What these websites contained \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and whether they were malicious \u00e2\u20ac\u201d is unknown, though they reportedly serve malware.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Also worth noting the &#8220;CBS News Denver&#8221; site&#8230; global research dot ca crap.<\/p>\n<p>In the comments sections of the news sites that have picked this story up&#8230; we get a lot of jabs and snarks.\u00c2\u00a0 Also I note that Alex Jones seems to get top billing quite a bit &#8212; meaning Lyndon Larouche is now just an Alex Jones underling.<\/p>\n<p><em>Wait til he starts Instagraming artsy pictures of his lunch.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>That guy is still around?<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Here I thought Lyndon LaRouche existed solely for two brilliant golden-age The Simpsons jokes. Didn&#8217;t know he still had supporters.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\" http:\/\/www.tvrage.com\/news\/6232\/cbs-shows-twitter-accounts-hacked\">Yeah, do not worry &#8211; I have never heard of him either<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/60-minutes-48-hours-twitter-443384\">Alex Jones dominates the dicussion section here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For the most part, after this initial burst, the larouche connection is dropped out of the coverage.\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/stories\/2013\/04\/21\/cbs-confirms-twitter-accounts-for-60-minutes-48-hours-were-hacked\/\">We see it in the (Glenn Beck Media) Blaze coverage that reposts the tweet message sans larouche<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 (And what a loopy amusement the comments section is here.)\u00c2\u00a0 And after that,\u00c2\u00a0 I<a href=\"http:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/mojo\/2013\/04\/60-minutes-twitter-pro-assad-syria-hackers\">t is lost in the ensuing flood of twitter messag<\/a>es.<\/p>\n<div>In Cardtable Deployment News&#8230;\u00c2\u00a0 yes, with the Boston Marathon attacks.\u00c2\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/theava.com\/archives\/21537\">Aiming for this viscarel response<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><em>Also on Monday, at the Willits Post Office, a pair of Larouchies showed up with their trademark placard depicting Obama with a Hitler moustache, and describing Obama as a Nazi. This stuff can make a guy nostalgic for the sedition laws<\/em>.<\/div>\n<div>&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/technology\/technolog\/ap-twitter-account-hacked-posts-false-white-house-scare-6C9560165\">Update on the Syrian Electronic Army&#8217;s current cyber war<\/a>:<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><em>Following a hack attack, the Associated Press&#8217; verified Twitter account posted &#8220;an erroneous tweet&#8221; claiming that two explosions occurred in the White House and that President Barack Obama is injured. Moments later, the @AP Twitter account \u00e2\u20ac\u201d with nearly 2 million followers \u00e2\u20ac\u201d was suspended.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Immediately following the false tweet, the\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/business\/bogus-ap-tweet-white-house-briefly-slams-stocks-6C9559363\" target=\"_blank\">Dow Industrial Average lost about 140 points<\/a>. These losses were immediately recovered. [&#8230;]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>A wire statement issued later explained that the mid-day tweet &#8220;came after hackers made repeated attempts to steal the passwords of AP journalists.&#8221; A group called the Syrian Electronic Army claimed credit for the hack. The group&#8217;s original Twitter account is currently suspended, but on Tuesday afternoon, an\u00c2\u00a0alternate &#8220;official&#8221; account was live.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Social media accounts associated with CBS News programs &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; and &#8220;48 Hours&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/technology\/technolog\/cbs-news-says-some-its-twitter-accounts-were-hacked-6C9533058\" target=\"_blank\">were compromised on Saturday.<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0The same group, known for its pro-Assad politics,\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/id\/51624379\/ns\/technology_and_science-tech_and_gadgets\/\" target=\"_blank\">took credit<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0for that attack too, as well as earlier attacks on the Twitter accounts of NPR and the BBC. The group is not to be confused with the hacking collective known as Anonymous \u00e2\u20ac\u201d in fact, they have\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/id\/44076827\/\" target=\"_blank\">previously clashed<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0online.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll just have to watch and see if they post more Larouche created Syrian Government Propaganda in their next Media Hack Attack.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly this headline, inserted into the hack items:<\/p>\n<p><em>Tech bloggers posted screenshots of fake posts that appeared under the CBS accounts, including one from @48Hours that read, &#8220;General Dempsey calls for #Obama&#8217;s arrest under new anti-terror laws #48hours.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>That reminds me of a headline recently seen at the alex jones sites. \u00c2\u00a0The news sites all say the link directed one to malware infestation. \u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/qz.com\/77464\/how-the-syrian-electronic-army-hacked-the-ap-and-who-are-these-guys-anyway\/\">A bottom line on this last one<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>Apparently hacking obscure, but relevant, social media accounts wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t enough for the SEA.
