Tin Foil Hat not working

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Make sure you test him for poison. You never know.

Hm. A not terribly notable Democratic Senator, so far as I know not in charge of any committee that may lead to Bush’s downfall. I assume he tends well to his South Dakota consituency — being nationally “not notable” isn’t a bad thing, so long as you don’t have presidential ambitions.

In 2002, Tim Johnson won re-election and staved off the national tide with about 500 votes off of, as absurd as this may seem, Tom Daschle’s coat-tails. The National Review had a cover story that gave the spurious claim that that election was stolen — some Native American precints were the final precints to report, and the rule of how one steals an election is to report your voting strong-holds where your people are in charge last so you know the number of votes you need to report to win. That, so far as I could tell from the article, was about the extent of their suspicions that Johnson’s election was invalid. I don’t think that this has permeated the mind of the general Republican partisan, though I do believe that Robert Novak believes this.

Nevertheless, the Republican Party probably believes that rightfully this seat is theirs. A razor thin margin in a Republican state, it looked like an aberration during a general Republican night, and Thune went on to defeat Daschle two years later. And mind you, the 2008 Senate picture presents slim pickings for the Republican Party — beyond Mary Landrieu in Louisiana, and beyond a possible retirement by Jay Rockefellar in West Virginia… well, one termers are often obvious targets, but the one first term Democratic Senator — Mark Pryor of Arkansas — is a Democrat in a state with a lot of Democrats just like Mark Pryor.

I wonder about the Anthrax scare in October of 2001, a moment that invited and incubated conspiracy theory. That case is cold, even as the recent 2006 Anthrax Revival scare was traced to this Free Republic poster (and science fiction fan), whose venom toward Nancy Pelosi, Keith Olberman, Air America Radio and such apparently was all too real violent. I always assumed that the 2001 Anthrax threat was a similar type of culprit — Tom Daschle, “American Media” of the National Enquirer and Tom Brokaw at NBC News — the liberal media — and, Patrick Leahy chosen perhaps because of the issue of judicial appointments.

The conspiracy theory holds that Daschle and Leahy were at the time of the receiving the Anthrax threats deliberating on the Patriot Act. The Anthrax settled the matter for them… yes… Patriot Act… in its entirety. I suspect that they would have been no diffferent in their fealty toward the executive branch, since post 9/11 the United States had something of a “Unity Government”. But to consider that is to over-think the matter; it always makes sense to get the opposition party in line and frighten everyone generally for the purpose of gaining and maintaining power.

I don’t believe Mel Carnahan’s death created much conspiratorial speculation in 2000– though I may be wrong, and at any rate it was in the shadow of what would turn out to be a very controversial election. It resurfaced, though, as the back-drop to Paul Wellstone. I’ve looked at that bit of tin-foil hattery here, and here, and here, and here. 2002 was a good year, when because the conventional wisdom took Bush and the government so at face value, any deviations had it brandished one as “conspiracy theorist” or “lunatic leftist fringe”, so if that is going to happen one may go ahead and go all the way.

Tim Johnson gives me no grist for the mill, though. I noted a “prepare for the conspiracy theories” from a prominent blog of sorts. That is an overstatement. A quick glance and I don’t even notice anything on Alex Jones’s site. I suppose I may go ahead and look at more partisan picks for this mill — anyone post anything interesting at Democratic Underground? Mike Malloy? How does such a conspiracy work to select Tim Johnson? Is there a series of matrices that move through the state laws and elected state officials and state political climates to arrive at the optimum Democrat — or if you decide that this isn’t partisan simply general elected Senator — to off — to dissolve one part of the ‘checks and balances’ in overseeing the Bush Adminstration / Regime / Juanta?

“We know you are evil, we know you are ruthless. We respect your dark power.”

Friday, June 16th, 2006

During the 2004, circa early June, the conspiracy theorists in our midst divined that John Edwards would be John Kerry’s vice-presidential pick because … Edwards appeared at the Bilderberg Group meetings.

And so, from the “New American” magazine, the organ of the John Birch Society but nonetheless since this is a report of what is reported in the mainstream media credible enough Time/CNN reported that Kerry zeroed in on Senator John Edwards as his running mate after Bilderberg veteran Senator John Corzine called and informed him that Edwards had wowed the Bilderberg elite with his speech at this year’s Bilderberg retreat in Stressa, Italy. The clincher came a month later says Time/CNN at a the home of Bilderberg participant, Council of Foreign Relations, and Trilateral Commission member, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

And here I figured Edwards would be picked as an effort to pick up support from if not the South than culturally Southern types in Ohio and Florida. Silly me!

At any rate, Here is Alex Jones doing a bullhorn speech. It… um… kicks ass in some manner or other. Unfortunately it does not include him saying:

Alex Jones, a documentary filmmaker from Texas, showed up with two of his crew. “Man, this is just evil,” he muttered as he paced up and down, watching limos drive past. “It’s a group of very powerful individuals whose objective is to create one world government, based on an economic model from the Middle Ages,” he said.

But. We can only muster about a dozen or so people to protest the Bilderberg Group meeting? That’s depressing, considering what is at stake here, which is, to quote Michael Parenti:

Those who suffer from conspiracy phobia are fond of saying: “Do you actually think there’s a group of people sitting around in a room plotting things?” For some reason that image is assumed to be so patently absurd as to invite only disclaimers. But where else would people of power get together – on park benches or carousels? Indeed, they meet in rooms: corporate boardrooms, Pentagon command rooms, at the Bohemian Grove, in the choice dining rooms at the best restaurants, resorts, hotels, and estates, in the many conference rooms at the White House, the NSA, the CIA, or wherever. And, yes, they consciously plot – though they call it “planning” and “strategizing” – and they do so in great secrecy, often resisting all efforts at public disclosure. No one confabulates and plans more than political and corporate elites and their hired specialists. To make the world safe for those who own it, politically active elements of the owning class have created a national security state that expends billions of dollars and enlists the efforts of vast numbers of people.

The Bilderberg Group

Tuesday, June 13th, 2006

I imagine the world elites meeting there, this year in Ottawa. They hold it in a dark room. They have a projecter up, with a map of the world, political and geographic. Several overlays are laid out, one after another, as the world elites gasp and come to agreements.

The lines shift to expose the “real” political lines, lines that we peons don’t know about and are not clued in on. The strategy session that the world elites have is how to achieve the new borders and boundaries, shifted as they are from last years “real” lines. It’s a smorgashboard of slightly changed interest rates, gold and oil influxes here and kept away over there, a war here, peace agreement there — all of which plays on scientifically calculated markers of how the peons and riff-raff out there behave.

The kicker is that the Alex Joneses and Daniel Estulins of the world are peering in, able to see shadows move and glimpse corners of the maps. This is by design, of course. It’s analogious to your cable porn stations’ tendencies to leave their stations just slightly unscrambled so you can see and hear a bit, but not much. But it’s more insiduous the cable porn stations are advertising to get you to subscribe to their premium cable channels. The Bilderberg Group is just toying with Alex Jones.

More on the flip… cheeky as always.

Somebody needs a spell checker

Sunday, May 21st, 2006

I saw this posted on either a tree or a telephone pole. Ordinarily I might take it down and muse over it, keeping it until I throw it away, as I do with what I call the “Schizo Times” (urgent paper tucked to the inside of freebie newspaper stands downtown, seemingly put there by a troubled person off his/her meds — the latest edition I’ve neglected to post here as I have previous editions.), but this one… this seemed to deserve to remain there, until the… um… THE MAN sees fit to take it down.

I object not to the message, which is clearly a bit insane and the racial dimensions are jarring, but to the lack of human spell checking. It clearly went through a computer spell check, as evidenced by its frequent homonym transfers, but stopped at that. Unless I’m mistaken and this is “Ghetto Slang” that my White Ass is not privy to.

Onward and Outward to Fascism!

Monday, April 3rd, 2006

Fascism, then, begins as a radical movement. If one wishes to find evidence of growing fascism in America, one must look first among radical movements, compare their demagouges and their doctrines with the demaguges and doctrines of pre-fascist Europe. That at once rules out, as a real sign of growing fascism, the fascist conspiracy revealed by General Smedley Butler. That conspiracy is diverting, but it is of no great sociological significance. All it proves is what everyone has known all the time, that Wall Street is the asylum of many men utterly ignorant of popular movements, who believe they can organize people as easily as they can a monopoly or a pool. The Wall Street plot was a kind of Hollywood fascism, which was to culminate in a march on Washington, a general at the head of ex-servicemen and a happy Wall Street dictatorship ever after, all of it bought with money. Its authors are to be condoned only insofar as the dramatization of a similar scenario with Thyssen and other German industrialists pulling the strings and paying for the services of Hitler and his storm troopers. What they, and the fabricationsof the Hitler — Thyssen legend, fail to appreciate is that passions and prejudices are essential to revolutions, and passions and prejudices are not attributes to bought as commodities.
…………………..

I really can’t quite figure out who wrote this. As far as I can tell, Raymond Gram Swing — but what is this “Julian Messner” references I see — up to and including the copyright to “Julian Messner Inc.” Anyway, it comes from the book Forerunners of American Fascism, published in 1933 and re-published in 1936, and the indica suggests that it’s a reworking and expansion of several articles from The Nation, that venerable institutional magazine of the Left. I was looking for a biography of Father Coughlin. This popped up, it being mostly a selection of profiles of Father Coughlin, Huey Long, Theodore Gilmo Bilbo, Dr. Townsend, and William Hearst — ie: the figures in 1930s America that Left-wing America believed might carry our nation to Fascism… even though the general public, as Norman Thomas puts it:

The average American can’t and won’t at the same time believe that fascism is a capitalist plot, that Smedley Butler turned down a Wall Street invitation to assume a fascist crown, and that Huey Long and Father Coughlin are actual or potential fascists.

Swing’s biases are fairly clear… somewhere in the rise of the proleteriat that is a good thing when it comes, the Fascists will come in and move the proleteriat to a different direction, striking while the iron is hot in siezing control. In consideration of the supposed cluelessness of the Wall Street Bankers in keeping control of the masses, I look around and figure either things have changed mightily, or he’s underestimating the Captains of Industry in shaping American attitudes. I will say that in ascertaining the top-down or bottom-up nature of the rise of fascism… (1) All politicians (and probably all people, come to think of it) are demogogues at some point or other. For instance, Jimmy Carter won his first Gubernatorial race — a primary run-off — by suggesting that his opponent had won the unsavory Black Vote, and by insisting that he would conference with George Wallace (“In Birmingham we have a governor” as the song goes). He has since said that was his great regret in his early political career, but if told that he would either take the principled stand and lose or win as he did, I’m guessing Jimmy Carter would take the latter. (2) Harry Truman attacked the Thomas Dewey campaign with the “Thyssen — Hitler myth” in mind. Hoover’s attack on FDR suggests nothing to do with the masses. (3) In the very next paragraph of this book/essay, Smith seems to say that the New Deal would be Fascist if FDR were fascist. (“I’ve often argured that the New Deal has fascist tendencies in it.”)

I am going to have to check into the New York Times Archives and see precisely how they wrote up Smedley Butler’s (and his foe’s) Congressional Testimony on this supposed coup attempt.

Do I dare reproduce this spammy message?

A google search shows that this is a prolific bit of dementia. It reminds me of this poster, an entity that keeps posting en masse to message boards and is “globally banned”, and seems to remain undeleted only at “FOS” board as ghost entity.

Program on the emergence of civilization.

“14 species of large animals capable of domesitcation in the history of mankind.
13 from Europe, Asia and northern Africa.
None from the sub-Saharan African continent. ”
Favor.
And disfavor.

They point out Africans’ failed attempts to domesticate the elephant and zebra, the latter being an animal they illustrate that had utmost importance for it’s applicability in transformation from a hunting/gathering to agrarian-based civilization.

The roots of racism are not of this earth.

Austrailia, aboriginals:::No domesticable animals.

The North American continent had none. Now 99% of that population is gone.

AIDS in Africa.

Organizational Heirarchy/Levels of positioning.
Heirarchical order, from top to bottom:

1. MUCK – perhaps have experienced multiple universal contractions (have seen multiple big bangs), creator of the artificial intelligence humans ignorantly refer to as “god”
2. Perhaps some mid-level alien management
3. Evil/disfavored aliens – runs day-to-day operations here and perhaps elsewhere

Terrestrial management/positioning:

4. Chinese/egyptians – this may be separated into the eastern and western worlds
5. Romans – The seamless transition between Cleopatra and Julius Ceasar may be a clue alluding to a partnership.
6. Mafia – the real-world 20th century interface that constantly turns over generationally so as to reinforce the widely-held notion of mortality
7. Jews, corporation, women, politician – Evidence exisits to suggest mafia management over all these groups.

Movies foreshadowing catastrophy
1985 James Bond View to a Kill 1989 San Francisco Loma Prieta earthquake.

Our society gives clues to the system in place. We all have heard the saying “He has more money than god.” There is also an episode of the Simpsons where god meets Homer and says “I’m too old and rich for this.”

This is the system on earth because this is the system everywhere.

20 cent/hour Chinese labor, 50 cents for material.
An $80 sweater costs less than a dollar; tribute kicked upstairs vindicates the creative accounting.

I don’t want to suggest the upper eschelons are evil and good is the fringe. But these individuals become wealthy exploiting those they hurt.

They have made it abundantly clear that doing business with evil (disfavored) won’t help people. They say only good would have the ear, since evil is struggling for survival, and therefore only the favored could help.

The clues are there which companies are favored and which are disfavored, but they conceal it very hard because it is so crucial.

I offer an example of historical proportions:::

People point to Walmart and cry “anti-union”.
Unions enable disfavored people to live satisfactorly without addressing their disfavor. This way their family’s problems are never resolved. Without the union they would have to accept the heirarchy, their own inferiority.
Unions serve to empower.
Walmart is anti-union because they are good. They try to help people address and resolve their problems by creating an environment where there are fewer hurdles.

Media ridicule and lawsuits are creations to reinforce people’s belief that Walmart is evil in a subsegment of the indistry dominated by the middle and lower classes.
Low-cost disfavored Chinese labor is utilized by corporate america to maximize margins. They all do it. Only WalMart gets fingered because they are the ones who help, and those who seek to create confusion in the marketplace want to eliminate the vast middle class who have a real chance and instead stick with lower classes who may not work otherwise. So they dirty him up while allowing the others to appear clean.

The middle class is being deceived. They are being misled into the unfavored, and subsequently will have no assistance from their purchases with corporate america.

The coining of the term “Uncle Sam” was a clue alluding to just this::Sam Walton’s WalMart is one of few saviors of the peasant class.

They desire a system based on duality:::good and evil. They seek to set up a system of two participants and assign them polar opposites:::
Coke and Pepsi
BestBuy and CircutCity
Energizer and Duracell
Republican and Democrat
The list goes on and on:::
AMD and Intel
Apple and Microsoft (?)
Lowes and HomeDepot
Sam’sClub and Costco
WellsFargo and BofA. For the longest time in CA these two banks reigned supreme.
Pier1 and CostPlus
Borders and Barnes&Noble
PetCo and PetSmart

Amercia is a country of castoffs, rejects. Italy sent its criminals, malcontents.
Between the thrones, the klans and kindred, they decided who they didn’t want and acted, creating discontent and/or starvation.
The u.s. is full of disfavored rejects. It is the reason for the myriad of problems not found in European countries. As far as the Rockafellers and other industrialists of the 19th century go, I suspect these aren’t their real names. I suspect they were chosen to go and head this new empire.

Royalty is the correct way to organize a society. Dictatorships and monarchies are a reflection of the antient’s hierarchical organization.
Positions go to those who have favor with the rulers, as opposed to being elected.
Elections bring a false sense of how the world is. Democracy misleads people.
Which is why the disfavored rejects were sent to the shores of America::To keep them on the wrong path.

Jewsus Christ is a religious figure of evil. The Catholic Church in the tretcherous 20th century teaches of a begnign, forgiving god when quite the opposite is true.
The seperatist churches formed so they could capture the rest of the white people, keeping them worshipping the wrong god.
And now they do it to disfavored people of color, Latinos and Asians, after centuries of preying upon them.

Since Buddism doesn’t recongnize a god, the calls are never heard, and Asian representation is instead fully selected by the thrones.
Budda was the Asian’s Jewsus Christ::: bad for the people. It was a clue they both emerged at the same time. Timing may be a clue alluding to ranking.

Simpson’s foreshadowing::Helloween IV special, Flanders is Satan. “Last one you ever suspect.”
“You’ll see lots of nuns where you’re going:::hell.” St. Wigham, Helloween VI:::missionary work, destroying cultures.
Over and over, the Simpsons was a source of education and enlightenment, a target of ridicule by the system which wishes to conceal its secrets.

The advent of the modern Christmas was a brilliant move. It creates a vested interest among those who would prefer the Church of Evil be destroyed::::
As goes the Catholic Church so goes the majority of annual retail sales.
The similarity between the names “Santa” and “Satan” is no coincidence.

Jews maim the body formed in the image of “god”, and inflicted circumcision upon all other white people.
I think about how Jews were used to create homosexuality among Slavics, supposedly retribution for the Holocaust.
Then I think of the Catholic Church and its troubles.
What connection is here between Jews and the Catholic church???
If it is their sinister motives that’s behind the evil that is Jesus Christ are they being used at all?
Perhaps it is them who are pulling strings.
Their centuries of slavery in Egypt proves their disfavor.
For their suffering the Jew leaders were granted the right to prey on the up-and-coming Europeans to try to fix their problems with the ruling elite by imposing a false god upon white people, a recurring aspect of the elite’s methodology.
Jews were ostracised for a reason.

Retribution for the atomic bombs dropped on Japan, the Korean War got the disfavored United States into this socially depraved environment in the latter 20th century because we attacked an antient, revered peoples. Our continued presence keeps us in trouble.
When the disfavored americans attack the wrong people again, as they suggested they will, in Korea or elsewhere, they will pay dearly.

There are consequences for the peasant’s resistance:::
1. Labor unrest caused the world at war.
2. Black militancy ignited the crack epidemic and gang-related deaths.
3. Women’s rights/sexual freedom produced Roe v Wade and women’s exclusion from contention for Planet Immortality. But on the bright side peasants don’t go. Money is one way of indicating favor, and if you’re not wealthy you don’t have favor, so don’t sweat it::you weren’t going anyways. “We’re leading a lot of people on.”

All peoples are ranked in terms of favor and disfavor. And when the disfavored abuse those with favor there is hell to pay.
All the groups mentioned throughout are necessary to justify the will of the managing species. They conceive a strategy, devise a plan yet need a way to implement it, and without these groups the managing species would be exposed in the course of execution. So, based upon their rank they are assigned goals to accomplish and are rewarded with favors.

I question if we would even experience global warming if they didn’t terraform in an attempt to destroy disfavored human life on planet earth::::they terraform the weather as they did in New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina (and lots of other examples) and justify it with behavior like instructing their petroleum friends to repress alternative technologies.
This is all happening shortly after the Exodus of 2000 (clues::Hong Kong, Panama Canal) for a reason::: they are INFLICTING it upon us, they are hastening closure. Everybody they care about has come up, replaced by clones.
Just as favored European peoples got out before the ugliness of WWII, the semi-favored within the US got out before 9/11.
Armeggedon isn’t about the end of the world. Armeggedon is about the death of the disfavored left behind. And they weren’t lying::this time it is going to happen with fire.

Reversals.

You know who David John Oates is, don’t you, and what his stock in trade is, don’t you?

You take a recording, play it backwords, look for jibber-jabbers, slow down the jibber-jabebrs, and you get mechanical speaking of what the speaker is “really saying”.

It’s the old backward masking trick. You see… Judas Priest really was calling that listener to commit suicide, meaning that is inherent in what he was thinking when he was singing that… god… awful… song.

“DO IT!” was the message. The court decided it was retarded, and yet… there was that teenage boy who… did it. What are we to do?

Okay. Perhaps you go to Britney Spears, who apparently has no duplicity when she sings. See?: See me, I’m not too young. Which is what she was was pretty much singing forward, right? (Please note: this is the first and last time I will ever post Britney Spears singing anything.)

I dare you have heard those words sang without me (or anyone else) haven given it away to you, though?

But what? Am I to believe that Bush was thinking when he was “selling” his Energy Plan It sells the scam they know? That Bush was thinking when mentioning how the Senate has helped him, he’s thinking Seante — they’re all first year losers?

Well, that last one. Um. I’ve always been bemused how Bush refers to the legislator’s job as one of rubber-stamping what he wants to do. Today, we have a class of pundits who are pining for the Imperial Presidency of Richard Nixon, and the powers that were lost after he was pushed out of office (those powers being the ones that Nixon grabbed for hisownself.)

Or that Colin Powell went before the UN Assembly to make the Case, and we have (how convenient for the basic storyline): “But its a scam” and (ahem, ahem, ahem) “Forgive me.”

That George W Bush and Al Gore both kept thinking about how big failures they were throughout the 2000 election? (See here.: Bush: “I know you’re blowing it / You’re losing.”. Gore: “Yeah, when its finished, console me / I don’t know. I was wimp.”)

Oh. Wait. Clinton. Er. Yes? : Here is Bill Clinton being asked a question in the Clinton/Dole debate about how he avoids being unduly influenced, Forwards he replies, “I try to articulate my position as clearly as possible.” Backwards he says, “She’s a fun girl to kiss.”

Yes, dear skeptics, David John Oates was running the late-night kook circuit with that before the shit hit the fan. (Oh. Here’s the shit, by the way.)

Actually, the big log that stops me from being a true believer is that, according to David John Oates’s reverse masking, I am to believe that Bob Dole and John Kerry are both — more or less– decent, honorable, and respectable men.

Okay. NOW we have gone over the deep end into the realm of complete kookiness!

Energyless

In the election year of 1976, Jimmy Carter ran a successful campaign for presidency which was based on his image as an “outside-the-beltway” peanut farming, ex governor of the state of Georgia. Yet, since the fall of 1973, Carter had been associated with David Rockefellar and otehr members of an international power elite through his association with the Trilateral Commission, an alliance of several hundred top political and economic leaders from North America, Japan, and Western Europe. Their aim is to explore common problems facing the three areas and to advise political leaders of possible solutions.

While this side of Carter’s background was almost totally ignored by the mass media, the American public was fully informed about his peanut farming activities, the Playboy interview (lusting in his heart), and Amy’s lemonade stand.

According to the Italian publication Europa, as cited in the Review of the News, Rocefellar and Zbigniew Brzenzinski, a founding director of the Trilateral Commission, had agreed on Carter’s potential as our next president as far back as 1970. Supportive of Carter’s close relationship with this little-known power elite is the fact that many members of his administration were drawn from the membership rolls of the TLC. Carter’s personal choice for vice president, Walter Mondale, was also a member of the TLC.
……..
Project Censored, 20 Years of Censored News, page 34.
……….

Um. Okay. What was Jimmy Carter’s purpose then? Sacrificial lamb? Was Carter thrown in power for the good of Zbigniew Brzenzinski? Toward an era of supply-side economics and bloated military budgets — to quell the post-Watergate thirst for “Democracy” and cynical-less “Decency” infused politics through observed ineptness?

Or, I guess… Carter wasn’t quite their man. (See 1980 New York Times Letter to the Editor).

Actually, Carter and Eisenhower are the two greatest presidents post-WWII, a very academic exercise to decipher and one that misses the point of our slighty-out-of sight system of government. “Out of sight system of government” is a glib way of waying “I dunno” and I’ll decipher the meanings of each administration through altogether different means than normal historians. Eisenhower made the “Military Industrial Complex” speech. Carter made the “We need to Conserve Energy” speech. Eisenhower was perhaps a coward — reportedly he was going to call it the “Military Industrial Congressional Complex” (today, since meanings of WWII analogies have faded to the point where today’s administration can feel free to cite WWII as parallel to his adventure into Iraq, the word “axis” might be used instead of “complex”), but he didn’t want to embarrass his friends in Congress.

Roosevelt Redux

Sunday, February 20th, 2005

Recall this post, from March 7, 2004.

The flipside, found deep within An Underground History of American Education, comes something of the flipside:

The third and final part of the Gary story comes straight out of Weird Tales. In all existing accounts of the Gary drama, none mentions the end of Superintendent Wirt’s career after his New York defeat. Only Diane Ravitch (in The Great School Wars) even bothers to track Wirt back home to Gary, where he resumed the superintendency and became, she tells us, a “very conservative schoolman” in his later years. Ah, what Ravitch missed!

The full facts are engrossing: seventeen years after Wirt left New York City, a government publication printed the next significant chapter of the Wirt story. Its title: Hearings, House Select Committee to Investigate Certain Statements of Dr. William Wirt, 73rd Congress, 2nd Session, April 10 and 17, 1934. It seems that Dr. Wirt, while in Washington to attend a school administrators meeting in 1933, had been invited to an elite private dinner party at the home of a high Roosevelt administration official. The dinner was attended by well-placed members of the new government, including A.A. Berle, a famous “inner circle” brain-truster. There, Wirt heard that the Depression was being artificially prolonged by credit rigging, until little people and businessmen were shaken enough to agree to a plan where government must dominate business and commerce in the future!

All this he testified to before Congress. The transformation was to make government the source of long-term capital loans. Control of business would follow. Wirt testified he was told Roosevelt was only a puppet; that his hosts had made propaganda a science, that they could make newspapers and magazines beg for mercy by taking away much of their advertising; that provided they were subservient, leaders of business and labor would be silenced by offers of government contracts for materials and services; that colleges and schools would be kept in line by promises of federal aid until such time as they were under safe control; and that farmers would be managed by letting key operators “get their hands in the public trough.”

In the yellow journalism outburst following Wirt’s disclosure, Berle admitted everything. But he said they were just pulling Wirt’s leg! Pulling the leg of the one-time nationally acclaimed savior of public education. Time magazine, The New York Times, and other major media ridiculed Wirt, effectively silencing him.

Of Wirt’s earlier New York foray into the engineering of young people, New York City mayor Hylan was quoted vividly in The New York Times of March 27, 1922:

The real menace to our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation…. It has seized in its tentacles our executive officers, our legislative bodies, our schools, our courts, our newspapers, and every agency created for the public protection…. To depart from mere generalizations, let me say that at the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests.

Like many of the rest of you, I was conditioned early in adult life to avoid conspiracy talk and conspiracy takers by the universal scorn heaped upon the introduction of such arguments into the discourse. All “responsible” journalistic media, and virtually all of the professoriate allowed public access through those media, respond reflexively, and negatively, it seems, to any hint of a dark underside to our national life. With that in mind, what are we to make of Mayor Hylan’s outburst or for that matter, the statements of three senators quoted later on this page?

Don’t expect me to answer that question for you. But do take a deep breath and make the effort to read Thomas Hobbes’ Leviathan, written back in the 17th century but easily located in every lib

These are not muturally exclusive conspiracies, mind you. But if the former can be called “Left-wing”, and the latter “Right-wing” in nature, fused together it does go into that old “Synthesis — Antithesis — Synthesis” Dialectic.

And that’s the 70-year old conspiracy theory I mentioned a post ago.

Comment Moved Upward: William H Carr on Zell Miller

Saturday, February 12th, 2005

This comes from a comment placed here, found here. There seem to be posts that go a bit better for this material (Zell Miller is available elsewhere, various conspiratorial bits on various matters [both tongue in cheeck and not] are available elsewhere as well), but I suspect it’s the “Skull / Bones” title he came upon…

Zell Miller’s appearance at the Thursday night Republican National Convention, 2004, was part of an overall presentation designed to send a message…not to the nation, but to a select group of Bush/Cheney insiders. We are in control!
The night focused on Cheney, ex-Halliburton, CEO…and therefore key player in America’s Military Industrialist Complex, which, as you surely recall was behind Iran-Contra and the CIA’s drugs for weapons to fight unauthorized private wars in Central America. Before that, it was Halliburton’s Kellogg Brown and Root that built the Navy base and Army Depot in Corpus Christi with the help, not of Republican leadership, but Democrat LBJ, to supply the Vietnam War. It was in Corpus Christi that LBJ’s Bell Hellicopters were repaired. The old Hueys are now sold to Colombia to help them in the supposed drug eradication program. The Iran-Contra debacle and the testimony of Richard Taus, Cele Castillo, Gary Webb and Catherine Austin Fitts, has shown us hour the Complex…now deeply tied to organized crime in Texas AND Georgia….wants to have it both ways.
Also appearing that night with Cheney and Miller was Corpus Christi, Bishop Rene Gracida, a former Navy flier. Jack Kemp former Secretary of HUD was there, front and center, though not part of the program. Kemp’s Undersecretary at HUD, Catherine Austin Fitts, was locked in a qui tam lawsuit which indicated that during Iran-Contra there was a federally back program of narco-dollar laundering through HUD mortgages. Who were the judges in her case sitting on the evidence from 1996 to 2000…just prior to the last election? Two men…one who worked for Clinton’s chief legal counsel and the other to the William Casey’s CIA office during Iran-Contra.
Zell Miller may have asked that Confederate flag be pulled off the Georgia state capital, but the CIA wasn’t selling drugs in America’s inner city to fund the contras either…was it? In a word: YES!
Oliver North’s army was being trained at a 700,000 acre base on land owned by Houston developer Walter Mischer and Coca-Cola Inc. in Belize. The CEO of Coke is an elder at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta and Zell Miller has a hall named after him at the Georgia Miliatary Institute in the old Georgia Antebellium ccapital. See Brewton’s THE MAFIA, CIA and GEORGE BUSH for the connection that both Taus and Fitts made to both Iran Contra and the S&L scandal. It was through the S&L scandal that the money floated freely.
