“The Oregonian degrades” report

The front page on the Oregonian yesterday had a picture of Blazers star Damian Lillard, and a short article / blurb directing the reader to the Sports page.

The article  started with the interjection “Well”.  Something to the effect of “Well, the Blazers are down 1 game to 0 against the Spurs“.

This is the “above the fold” news item in the Oregonian.  It begins with the word “Well”.

I watch an woman, older woman, is buying a copy of the Oregonian.  She shakes her head.  “They just keep shrinking this thing”.

So it goes.
