With respect to Pross, having just read the Yakima Herald article I'm left with a bit of fatigue. Pross gets several paragraphs at the top, leaving some short paragraphs for Fearing. The amount of coverage and order of the coverage should be reversed.

The "Water-skiing Squirrel" Syndrome, which is that the news sources find that the most viewed news-items on their Internet are ... less than news nutritional. What was the equivalent of the final goofy news item on the local news becomes the big news item. The number one news story on the Seattle Times webpage in its history is the Enumclaw Bestiality story.

Um... you know exactly what I'm thinking... or perhaps you don't. But you and I know that coverage of serious candidates in this district is bad enough as it is. And giving street cred to a guy who has no campaign while ignoring the serious ones degrades the process. But they would rather report on how many times and who was tasered last week anyway. That's what a self-proclaimed family newspaper is all about.
