Yes, Kronberg did have premonitions, according to his wife–he said it would be incredibly ugly. He expressed revulsion at what he saw coming–in regard to himself and his whole family.

Of course, anyone who had been in the LaRouche organization as long as Kronberg had, knew how LaRouche treated and treats his “exes”–uses people and throws them away. Even the tiny bitter-ender group still on the NEC/NC probably understands how that works….

Wanna bet that if Nancy Spannaus had to write that obit today, it would be rather different?

Premonitions. Why I could not leave this topic alone, even when I could with Jeremiah Duggan — who I learned about in a round-about manner– (JusticeforJeremiah linked to an open letter that an exited Larouche posted on this blog) — and who should be a lot easier for me to relate to — born the same year and on from there.

The problem I had with Kronberg was that I had seen his suicide coming. Not specifically, but something very much like it. And I saw it coming without knowing anything specific about the cult’s apparatus. It hit me while puzzling out Larouche literature in March. Thus when I saw in April, unnamed long-time associate jumped off a bridge, I had that thorough-line: Premonition of bad things to come, bad thing happened.

Which put me in an odd bind. I knew just enough that I would feel guilt hanging over me if something like this happened again. I wasn’t exactly in a place to do anything, so what was I going to do?

That makes the Kronberg premonitions of his impending vilification a little startling to me. He saw what was coming — affecting himself — just as I saw something coming, and apparently right at the same time.

LaRouche ALWAYS blames his victims–a rather Hitlerian touch. (They MADE me do it to them.)

Interesting fact: In the months leading up to his death, and especially in the weeks before his death, Ken Kronberg said over and over that he would be vilified “like you’ve never seen.” He told his wife–who has told members, former members, non-members–that they would both be vilified horribly when he was forced to close PMR down.

Obviously when he saw the “Morning Briefing” of April 11, he thought “here it comes.”

And judging by LaRouche’s phenomenally ill-considered memo of early July about “Mother F—ers’ Fears,” and even more by this shoot-themselves-in-the-foot Internal Memo, Ken Kronberg was absolutely right.

He WAS going to be horribly vilified.

Whatever happened to the genius extolled in Nancy Spannaus’s cloying obituary? Because the week he died, Ken Kronberg was a genius, according to the Labor Cttee. Only later, as LaRouche started to get nervous, did Ken Kronberg become the goat.

Lyndon LaRouche is so transparent he could double for SaranWrap.
